Awesome Suspension Performance and Front Leveling

Leveling your truck and getting a smooth factory ride don't always go hand-in-hand. Many aftermarket leveling kits reuse your stock suspension hardware which leaves you with a factory ride and suspension performance at best, if not worse. Bilstein, one of the biggest names in performance suspensions, cuts out the middle man with this 5100 shock kit that includes high-quality adjustable front shocks. These shocks allow you to set your 2009 to 2013 F150's front ride height to stock, +.75", +1.5", or +2.25" of leveling by using their adjustable spring seat tabs. The adjustable design is paired up with legendary Bilstein quality and performance that let you take these dampers anywhere for any application you have in mind without fear.

Steel-Cased Monotube Shocks with Unique Piston

Each of these shock absorbers feature an ultra-strong steel body with a zinc plated finish that protects against corrosion. The shocks all feature a monotube gas-charged interior design with a digressive piston and self-adjusting deflective valving which allows each shock to work at varying ride heights and give your truck improved articulation in off-road application. All four shocks feature a large 46mm diameter that gives them a huge oil volume for less fade during heavy and sustained articulation off-road. This complete kit is a direct bolt-on replacement for your factory shocks and can be used with your factory front coil springs and rear leaf springs.

Fitment: this kit will only fit trucks with 4WD. Another kit is available for 2WD F150s.

2014 F150 Fitment: this kit will not have proper, bolt-on fitment to a 2014 F150 due to changes Ford made to the 2014's front suspension. Call 1-877-578-2433 for more information.

These new Bilstein shocks made an incredible difference in the stability of the ride compared to stock ones with 25,000 on them. The truck doesn't lunge when going into a corner, and when you hit a chuck hole, there isn't a big thud. I should have done this when I first bought the truck. I left the front height stock, because I usually travel in the #1 lane on the freeway at a good speed, didn't want to change headlight setting, and didn't up size in tires. This is second truck Bilstein has been on of mine.Installation and allignment done by Ford dealer, 200.00. I would highly recommend thsee shocks.

Although I had some trouble with UPS finding my house, these Bilstein adjustable shocks showed up in a reasonable amount of time in perfect, brand new condition. After becoming familiar with the procedure via YouTube, I jumped on it in my driveway using jacks, jack stands and basic hand tools (plus a strut compressor I rented from AutoZone). I started with the rear shocks, which were very simple and were installed in about 5 minutes each. I then tackled the front struts. The original struts came out in about 10 minutes each, and went back in in about 45 minutes. I set the new shocks to the tallest setting (~2.25" over stock) and traded out the parts required from the original struts. This allowed me to fit Cooper STT Pro 295/60r20 tires on stock FX4 wheels with no rubbing whatsoever. The struts went back in with no issues...once I completely disconnected the upper control arm. The ride is stiffer than stock, but perfect for me (I also went from stock tires to a load range E tire, further stiffening the ride). Around corners, the original struts/shocks made the truck feel like a listing boat. Now the suspension is tight and positive more like a car. I'm very happy with this product and the resulting suspension feel and look of the truck now. A word of advice, however, is to also purchase a camber bolt kit to accompany this product if you're going to max out the height. Although it can be aligned without the camber bolt kit, it's easier (and more repeatable) with the camber bolt kit.

First Stage 3 Rocks, great price, great customer service and fast shipping. The Bilstein 5100's not only are an upgrade on the overall ride of the truck, they gave me the added height needed for my 34.5" inch Nitto Trail's but also leveled out the truck with just a slight rake. Perfect plug and play! Backs 1/2 hour tops, front a little more involved with the springs, adjusted them to top 2.25. If your looking to improve your ride, level out your truck, fit a bigger tire without put an actual lift on your truck, look no further!

Great shocks and an excellent upgrade from stock. They are, as has been said several times, more stiff, but they make up for it in recovery and major reduction in body roll. I went the extra step and put a Hellwig rear sway bar and set these shocks at their third setting (1.5 inches.) Truck looks level, handles tight and rides solid. Well worth the money.

Had the fronts put on by a local shop and did the rears myself. Truck sits dead level with my boat hooked up. Perfect! Used 1.5 inch adjustment setting. The ride is great. If you are thinking of these, don't wait. These are worth it.

This is the best leveling kit for the money. It took about 2 hours a side and a few beers but install was not that hard to do with simple tools. My spring compressors were not long enough so I rented them free from the local parts store. I had an alignment done after a few days to let the springs settle and it rides great. They ride comfortable and my truck has minimal body roll when taking off ramps. I bought these because I put a Western Mid-Weight plow on my truck. These really make the truck ride comfortable especially with the 500lb plow on the front. We just had our first snow storm and the extra height in the front with the great ride made plowing with this set up a breeze.

So I got these as a gift from my girlfriend for Christmas I knew the quality would be great. As all bilstein products I own. soon as they were delivered I installed them at work. Install was easy and straight forward. The ride is still stock feel but a bit firm but no biggie no complaints if I lower it will obviously soften up a bit but I love the ride height at full clock it levels it out perfect.

Product shipped fast and was an easy install if you have a hydraulic press. I don't recommend the hand held spring compressors on this truck. I've put several hundred miles on these shocks and they're great. I got the perfect amount of lift in the front and the ride/handling quality is nothing less than what I would expect from Bilstein. Definitely a great product at a great price.

I ordered this kit along with F150 lifts.com 2.5" rear blocks and had them installed at my local Ford dealer for $250 with alignment which was a great deal IMO. Stage3 had it all at my door 2 days after I ordered it which was excellent so the next day it got installed. Rides much better than stock. No body roll and not bouncing around so much. Had the front set at 2.25 and with the rear blocks it still has some front rake but that's what I was going for. Rear is about 1 inch higher than the front. Great price on a great kit.

The shocks provide a firm ride but not uncomfortable. The only issue is during braking where I notice the front shocks rebound up and down when coming to a complete stop. Time will tell if this will continue. Overall I am satisfied with the performance and I feel they are a significant upgrade from the factory shocks.

I installed the rear shocks on my F150 in about 30 minutes and had a garage install the front struts since I didn't have a spring compressor. The ride is definitely firmer than stock, but in a good way. Much more controlled on the rough PA roads and almost completely took away body roll in turns. These are a way better option than spacer blocks to level out your truck.

I changed my shocks at 100,000 miles. The front tires were cupping. I set the front shocks at 2" and it leveled the truck perfect. I upsized tires to 275/70/18 terra grappler G2's and the truck rides and handles great. Very responsive in the corners and smoother than stock.

These shocks are much better than the Stock shocks that came on F150. Installed the back myself in about an hour. Had the front ones put on at a tire shop for about $250.00. I had the shop put the shocks on the .75 setting or second setting. The second setting gave me about an Inch of rake from front to back and a little more clearance for 275/70/r18 tires which are taller than stock. Ride is a little more stiff, but you don't bottom out when driving down dirt roads with deep ruts. Great service from Stage3, just about buying all my truck stuff from this site now. Love the reviews and Q&A section.
