It's remarkably easy to put up some huge power numbers with your 2005 to 2009 Mustang GT and its 3V 4.6L V8. The bad news is that many of your Mustang's factory drive-train components just can't hack all that extra horsepower and torque. Even if you're not throwing down a ton of power, an aftermarket Mustang performance driveshaft from Coast Performance or Dynomax makes for a extremely effective upgrade. These driveshafts are up to 50% lighter than your factory driveshaft and lets your Mustang put more power to its wheels by reducing parasitic losses. If you're really pushing your Pony to the edge of the performance envelope, then make sure to grab a Mustang driveshaft safety loop from BMR Suspension or Steeda Autosports to keep you safe when you punch the throttle at the track. Once you have your driveshaft squared away, make sure to take a look at our Mustang clutches and flywheels, or our high performance mustang big brake kits.
