2011-2014 F-150 5.0L Performance Parts

2011-2014 F150 5.0L Parts & Accessories

While it doesn't have two turbos or a massive displacement, the 5.0L Coyote V8 under the hood of your 2011-2014 F150 is a powerful, reliable, and rock-steady motor that responds extremely well to all sorts of bolt-on performance parts and tuning. The truck it resides in isn't much of a slouch, either, and with the right combination of suspension modifications, wheels, and tires your 5.0L F150 will be able to go anywhere and do anything you need, whether that's on the road or off of it. The Coyote 5.0L even has a few specialized tricks up its sleeve, with the ability to accept BOSS Intake Manifolds and a variety of superchargers, it doesn't take much to get these trucks throwing down enormous levels of power.

The big, wide world of 2011-2014 F150 5.0L Performance Parts

With the 5.0L V8 being a popular choice for the 2011-2014 F150s, and the 2011-2014 F150s themselves being one of the most popular vehicles on the planet, there isn't exactly a shortage of parts for these aggressive trucks and navigating the absolutely massive selection gets "interesting," to say the least. The good news is that we here at Stage 3 are here to help. We've put together more than a few wicked 5.0L F150 builds over the years, and have experience with more than our fair share of F150 5.0L Performance Parts and Accessories.

Where to even begin?

Most folks want to start squeezing more horsepower and torque out of their 5.0L V8 F150s as soon as they can, which isn't a bad strategy. The 5.0L Coyotes have a good amount of power locked away that a few aftermarket parts and accessories will happily unlock. Most of our customer's start off with an F150 5.0L Cold Air Intake Kit. While there is quite a variety of cold air kits out there, they're all functionally similar in that they provide a larger volume of cooler charge air to your truck's engine so that your motor gets improved overall performance. Airaid's SynthaMax Kit and S&B's Oiled Cotton Intake were two of our favorites.

While the 5.0L V8 F150s actually sound pretty darn good from the factory, the stock is exhaust note is just a little kitten purr compared to what the Coyote V8 really can sound like. The good news is that there's plenty of cat-back exhaust kits that are easy to install and get your truck a brutal, and aggressive new sound that is sure to turn some heads. The even better news is that we have sound clips of a whole bunch of them, so you can find the kit that's perfect for your truck or application.

While some extra power and sound are never a bad thing, the best bang-for-buck power gains come from aftermarket tuning, especially custom tuning from our friends over at 5-Star Tuning. Custom ECU tuning gets your truck more horsepower and torque by adjusting key parameters in your 5.0L V8's engine management software, which allows you to get a bunch of extra horsepower, more torque, improved throttle response, better fuel economy, and awesome drivability. 5-Star's custom tuning can even adjust for extremely powerful modifications like Boss 302 Manifolds and long tube headers so that your truck makes a bunch more power over stock without tripping engine codes.

Suspension, Wheels, and Tire Upgrades

The 2011-2014 F150 5.0Ls may not be the most capable machines out of the gate, but once you throw on some suspension upgrades and aggressive tires, these torquey trucks can conquer just about any terrain. One of the most popular suspension upgrades for the 5.0L F150s is a leveling kit. Leveling kits raise the front ride height of your truck by a few inches, which doesn't sound like much, but you get the clearance to mount up bigger wheel and tire options for extra ground clearance. Leveling kits also, as their name implies, level out your truck's rake which cleans up its stock tail-high look. There's two basic types of leveling kits: spacer leveling kits which consist of inexpensive strut extensions that add ride height, but don't do much for performance; and coilover leveling kits which have entirely new strut assemblies or full coilovers that both add ride height and performance to your truck.

With your truck at a taller ride height, you can now indulge in much more aggressive wheel and tire combinations. The bad news is our selection is huge, but that means you get an almost limitless combination of wheel and tire options for your aggressive F150 build.

Immense Power with a Supercharger System

If you know you want absolutely massive horsepower and torque out of your 5.0L F150, and you're willing to spend the coin, then a 2011-2014 F150 5.0L Supercharger System may be right up your alley. Superchargers use your F150's serpentine belt drive to force air into your F150's engine. Your engine being a big V8 then makes a ton of horsepower and torque. We've had both a ProCharger Stage II System on a couple of our project trucks with great levels of success.

Going Huge with a Suspension Lift Kit

The 2011-2014 F150s look at their best when they're at a big ride height on huge tires, and the best way to get your truck there is with a complete suspension lift kit. These lifts can get your truck anywhere from 3" to a whopping 8" of ride height, allowing you and your 5.0L F150 to use massive wheel and tire combinations so that you can get the ground clearance to go just about anywhere with ease.
