So you've just bought a stock SVT Raptor and you're ready to get into the world of aftermarket modifications to build it for your particular needs and desired look. Where to begin? With thousands of products available for the Raptor, it can get confusing and become a headache if you're just getting started. Fortunately, we here at Stage 3 have a ton of experience to share from building a lot of our own project trucks over the years and have compiled a new 2010-2014 SVT Raptor Parts & Accessories Buyer's Guide to help you navigate the world of customization for your truck. There are countless parts and accessories out there as well as exterior and performance upgrades that we've tried out, only to find that they weren't as good as hyped or just didn't make the cut. That's where this guide comes in handy. We've hand-selected only the best parts and accessories for the perfect off-road-ready Raptor build in order to provide you with a road map of where to begin.

Regardless of the awesome exterior and performance changes made for the new 2015 Mustangs, one important issue has still not been addressed with the Ponys that roll off the factory line and that is the suspension. Mustangs are known for being fast off the line and hard to beat on straightaways but when it comes to cornering, you'll definitely need to address the issue of wheel hop if you want to compete at any level. Keeping those rear wheels on the ground during high-speed cornering has never been one of the high-points when it comes to Mustangs of any year and the new 2015 models are no different. Thankfully, our friends over at Whiteline Performance are well aware of this issue and have designed a few options to help us keep those rear wheels on solid ground to reduce wheel hop for extreme cornering in order to take advantage of all that extra horsepower and torque .

We're all a buzz around here at Stage 3 Motorsports about the newest product line we're able to deliver for your F150 and Raptor, as we're now proudly offering these new hand-laid fiberglass Front Fenders from Glassworks Unlimited. If you've already lifted your truck and thrown on a custom combination of oversized wheels and tires, or if it's currently in the works, these Front Fenders will take your truck to the next level. Field-tested everywhere from the sand dunes to deeply forested and rocky trails, these Front Fenders were designed by "sport truck" lovers in order to reduce some of the body weight of your truck and stand up to the bumps and bruises that come along with extreme off-road action.

If you've never bee able to bask in presence of the sheer glory that is an Air Lift Air Ride Digital Suspension System, then it's time to eat your heart out, because our dear friends over at Dyno-Comp installed our 2015 Mustang Air Lift Air Ride Digital Suspension System on our 2015 Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost Project Car, and it is the most beautiful thing I've ever laid eyes on. Just don't tell my wife. The Air Lift Air Ride Kit is a full air suspension system with a digital controller that lets us slam our Pony down for the car show, bring it up to stock ride height to get it over speed bumps, and then drop it to race height fro aggressive driving. Everyone here at Stage 3 is absolutely in love with how this kit makes the car look and handle, and it's been installed for only a few hours. Check out the images of our Pony's gorgeous new look after the jump!

So far the aftermarket front bumpers for the 2015 F150s are looking awesome, and more are getting added to the site on a regular basis, which gives you a ton of options for getting your 2015 F150 the right look and feel. However, there is a pretty serious issue with adding a front bumper if your truck is equipped with Ford's optional Adaptive Cruise Control and/or Park Assist functions: a bumper will cause these systems to not work, which is some seriously bad news if you have a Lariat, King Ranch, or Platinum 2015 F150 optioned out with those systems. Unfortunately, there's not a workaround at this time, so if you have those systems installed on your truck, you may want to consider holding off on a front bumper...unless you can live without them.

There's still a fair bit of confusion going around as to why we here at Stage 3 Motorsports and the folks over at 5-Star Tuning need you to get your truck's PCM updated to the latest software/firmware versions issued as Ford Technical Service Bulletins or TSBs for short. The short, simple answer is that the latest Ford PCM software is needed so that 5-Star can get you the most reliable and powerful custom tune that they can. The more complicated answer is that there are fairly serious issues with Ford's early PCM software and firmware versions that may not rear their ugly heads until your truck is tuned, and 5-Star's tuning capabilities are at least partially based on Ford's PCM software. Dealing with software and your local Ford dealer isn't much fun. We're all too aware of both, but it's an absolutely necessary step in the custom tuning process that needs to be performed so that your truck runs at its best.

Aggressive 2015 Mustang builds can be made awesome by throwing on a bunch of engine, suspension and exterior parts but without a snarling muscle car sound, it's just not complete. Our friends over at Flowmaster have come to the rescue by designing one of their wildly popular Resonator-Delete kits for both the new 5.0L V8 and the sporty 2.3L EcoBoost Mustangs. While a lot of aftermarket exhaust kits are designed to give your Mustang a much more muscular exhaust note, these Resonator-Delete pipes take things to the next level with a much more gritty and raspy muscle car sound by removing the sound resonator. Flowmaster created a 2.5" Scavenger Resonator-Delete X-Pipe Kit for the 5.0L V8 and a 2.25" Scavenger Resonator-Delete Y-Pipe Kit for the 2.3L EcoBoost Mustang. Both options will give your Pony the kind of brutal volume and ferocious roar that will let everybody know when you're coming or going.

While the new 2015 F150 models offer most everything we here at Stage 3 have ever wanted in a truck, the exhaust sound is a bit on the quiet side. If quiet is what you're going for, then you're probably extremely satisfied with the stock exhaust system. However, if you're doing an aggressive F150 build with a big lift and oversized off-road tires, you need an exhaust that gives your truck a sound to match those awesome looks. Corsa's new Cat-Back Sport-Series Exhaust Kit for both the 5.0L V8 F150 and 2.7L or 3.5L EcoBoost models is on the complete opposite end of the sound spectrum from the stock version that rolled off the factory line. In fact, these Cat-Back systems are 4-6 decibels louder than the stock exhaust.

While installing an air spring system onto your F150 or Super Duty is one of our favorite ways here at Stage 3 Motorsports to level your truck and increase the suspension performance, hauling or towing heavy loads can cause issues that need to be addressed. Thankfully, our friends over at Air Lift read our minds and have now come up with a great new solution you can use to not only keep your leveled stance while towing but fix some of the suspension issues as well. These universal Lock-N-Lift Air Spring Spacers from Air Lift simply anchor in place underneath your existing air spring system and work to reduce noise, vibration and harshness while maintaining your truck's lifted and leveled stance during those times you're hauling or towing heavy loads. Whether you have a 4" or 6" lift kit installed on your F150, F250 or F350, these 2" spacers come in a modular design that allow them to securely stack and achieve the exact amount of height you need in an inexpensive and durable solution.

Darren, a local customer of us here at Stage 3 Motorsports has a very pretty 2015 F150 3.5L EcoBoost Platinum Edition, and thanks to 5-Star Tuning, it's now putting down a whole ton more horsepower and torque than stock. Darren took his Platinum 2015 3.5L EcoBoost down to a local dyno shop after he got his tuner for a bit of a comparison. Running a 5-Star 91 Octane Performance Tune, Darren's truck picked up a whopping 154lb-ft of torque and 76 horsepower at the tires over stock while equipped with an aFe Momentum Intake and an aFe Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust Kit. That's an impressive change that makes for one very quick 2015 F150 3.5L EcoBoost!

Last month, we put on a promotion where we would donate $5 off every order to the Veteran Tickets Foundation (more affectionately known as VetTix), who get event tickets to our nation's veterans through their Hero's Wish Program. Thanks to every customer who put in an order through Stage 3 during the month of April, we managed to raise over $8,600.00 for VetTix, which helped out many of their veterans currently in their Hero's Wish program and brought them a good way to making their $50,000 fundraising goal for the year. In thanks, they gave a snazzy plaque, which we really don't deserve. It was our pleasure to lend some of our nation's finest a hand, and we only have them and our customers to thank for making all of this possible.

While we here at Stage 3 are excited about the body changes and design of the new 2015 F150, there's still one issue that continues to need to be addressed - getting in and out of the truck with ease. If you regularly have passengers or little family members that ride with you it doesn't take long until you realize you need to address the running board or side step issue, especially if your F150 has a lift of any sort. That's why we're happy to announce that AMP Research has rolled out their 2015 line-up of automated Powerstep Plug-N-Play Running Boards w/ Light Kit for side access and their awesome BedStep Bumper Step for the rear. Together these two exterior innovations give your F150 a whole new level of convenience, form, function and awesome looks.

After years of real-world testing, taking their suspension kits through extreme trials on various off-road environments, BDS has come to the conclusion that a 4" Suspension Lift Kit provides the best combination of height and stability for the Raptor SVT. We're excited to be able to offer you their new 4" Suspension Lift Kit which not only gives your already tough F150 Raptor a great new look with the ability to throw on a set of aggressive-looking wheels and rugged 37" tires, but also provides increased handling.

One of the major killers of performance for the 6.7L Powerstroke Diesel is heat, especially during those times when you really need to push your truck hard in order to haul those extra heavy loads for work or make it through some questionable terrain on those extreme off-road play days. Well, fear not because our friends over at BD Diesel have come out with a great way to keep your Ford Super Duty's engine running as tough and dependable as possible with their new Xtruded Transmission Oil Cooler. This bolt-on component features their patented Micro Energy Bar technology which basically translates to 22% more cooling than any other similar devices on the market. With two different options for your 6.7L Powerstroke Diesel (single or double-stacked), BD Diesel has you covered when it comes to high-powered cooling during those times you rely on your F250 or F350 the most.

It was only a matter of time before our friends over at TruFiber came out with something amazing for the new S550 Mustangs, and their first of many hoods for the 2015 Mustangs is their hyper-aggressive A72KR Ram-Air and Heat Extraction Hood. The hood makes you 2015 Mustang look absolutely menacing and really changes up the entire appearance of the whole car. The hood even features a fully-functional ram-air and heat extraction system that can help improve your 2015 Mustang's performance by directing cool exterior air over to your Mustang's stock air box location, while the dual vents allow hot engine bay air to escape for cooler running. The hood drops right into place of your 2015 Mustang's stock hood, making it a piece of cake to get up and running on your Pony. While this hood is certainly awesome, we can't wait to see what other 2015 Mustang hoods TruFiber has rolling out here in the near future.
