From their headquarters in Temecula, California, BBK Performance oversees what can only be described as an aftermarket parts empire that includes distribution centers on both the east and west coasts of the United States and a massive manufacturing facility replete with full Dynojet and research and development suites. BBK's astounding success came as a result of being one of the first purpose-built Mustang performance parts manufacturers specializing in Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) engines. Way back when (as in 1988), EFI engines were beginning to completely phase out carbureted engines for standard production vehicles, but most companies in the performance industry kept churning out parts and accessories specifically for carburetors, despite the fact that their use was becoming limited to the track and drag strip. Brian and Ken Murphy saw their moment of opportunity and embraced the EFI market wholeheartedly, marketing their high-quality powertrain products to the new engine designs.
In the 20 years since, BBK has expanded aggressively and now manufacturers performance parts for Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers and many other domestic and import vehicles. While best know for their huge selection of exhaust components (including headers and mid-pipes), BBK also builds an excellent lineup of throttle bodies, cold air intakes, pulleys, not to mention lowering springs and various fuel system components, all of which make BBK Performance one of the most well-rounded aftermarket performance companies on the planet.
BBK develops each of their performance parts in-house with three goals in mind: real-world performance gains, OEM quality and durability, and affordability for the average enthusiast. Each part is designed using the latest technology and most exacting manufacturing techniques available before going through an exhaustive testing phase for fitment, power gains and drivability through use of BBK's own 1200 horsepower Dynojet and other high tech equipment. BBK's strenuous testing procedures guarantee that only their best parts actually make it to the production floor, while those lacking in quality and performance are sent back for further development. The real magic happens on BBK's production floor where rows of CNC lathe machines, six-axis robotic plasma cutters and dozens of highly-skilled welders and machinists combine to expertly craft each product for unparalleled fitment and performance that rivals any OE.
