Project Dark Horse is a Tricked out 2006 Mustang GT. We started out with a base model Mustang GT and then added Saleens 475 kit and a JDM custom tune to produce 410rwhp. Pacesetter L/T Headers and a Highflow catted H-pipe along with an Adrenaline Axle-Back by S.S.S. were added for more sound and performance. The Supercharger pulley was swapped out to a Chicane 3.6 and Custom CAI was added, along with a retune to up the ante to 440rwhp.
Now the fun begins, Saleen released the very first Shaker System to us for this Build in November of 2008. Along with this new added power I needed handling and stopping power, this was accomplished with a Watts link rear suspension, Extreme lowering kit and full Swaybar system. Stopping this Stallion was done with a full slotted rear and 14" Saleen Big Brake system up front, along with an Agent 47 Brake Duct cooling Kit. To keep a driver firmly in the saddle we installed Corbeaus 4 point harnesses and harness bar system.
The exterior of this GT was modeled after Saleens very Rare "Dark Horse" Edition Mustang. Custom one off replica graphics and badging were added to accent the exterior of the car along with Saleen Replica performance wheels and tires. An S.O.S. pod with full Vac/Boost and Wide Band Gauge were added to moniter the engine system. Finally Stage3 carbon Fiber parts and one off Saleen trim interior pieces were added inside, and underhood accents finished off this One off Dark Horse #10 replica producing 550hp on a stock aluminum block.
Our goal was to have an Aggresive mean look, and were happy with the results of the Saleen Supershaker System that pokes through the hood of this Street/Strip driven GT. Final numbers Showed 475rwhp and 447 torque. Next in store will be a fully forged 302 cubic inch swap.
