The GT-S III Fiberglass Hood from TruFiber improves on the earlier GT-S model by making the central uplift to the ram air housing blend into the hood in a more gradual fashion for a sleeker, less blocky look. The GT-S III fits the 2005-2009 Mustang and prominently features a fully-functional ram air system.
This TruFiber GT-S III Hood is made entirely of hand-laid fiberglass and is also available in Carbon Fiber. The ram air system features two frontal rectangular intakes at the front that come with stainless steel mesh grilles. The cool outside air is directed to the factory airbox, greatly lowering air charge temperatures. Warm air exits through the vented heat extractors near the hood's rear that dump air directly into the Mustang's slipstream.
The hood comes with a complete gel coat finish. The GT-S III is a direct OEM replacement for the stock hood and reuses the factory hardware. The hood has a built-in hole for the hood prop and includes metal latches and hinge plates.
