- While developing and dyno testing our âSSI-Seriesâ intake manifold for the 1986-1993 5.0L Mustang â The BBK engineers found that the small steel factory fuel rails left much to be desired. This resulted in the development of our current high flow aluminum fuel rails that are included in many of our performance intake manifolds as standard equipment.
