The SilverHorse Racing Tru-Billet doors were the first and only ones on the market made from solid 6061-T6 aluminum billets, machined down to an exact fit instead of being bent or cast into shape.
This results in a part that is lighter than the stock fuel door it replaces, yet will take just about whatever abuse you want to throw at it. After anodizing or plating, they are hand-assembled using stainless steel hardware and delrin bushings for a perfect, no-drill fit. Retention and closing of the door is accomplished with cadmium-plated press-fit magnets and a striker plate that is retained by stainless steel hardware, not loose-fitting glued-in components. Installs in about ten minutes using common hand tools, and they are available in different engraving options and in a variety of finishes.
