- The SilverHorse Racing Tru-Billet doors are made from solid 6061-T6 aluminum billets, machined down to an exact fit. This results in a part that is lighter than the stock fuel door it replaces, yet will take just about whatever abuse you want to throw at it.
- After anodizing or plating, they are hand-assembled using stainless steel hardware for a perfect, no-drill fit. Retention and closing of the door is accomplished with cadmium-plated press-fit magnets and a striker plate that is retianed by stainless hardware, not glue. Installs in about ten minutes using common hand tools, and they are available in a variety of finishes. See below for more detailed images.
