Diablosport Predator
Diablosport's Predator handheld tuning device is one sophisticated piece of equipment. This will be obvious to you as soon as your hook it up to your Mustang's ODB II. The Predator's internal computer will automatically recognize your Mustangs PCM settings and automatically select the proper tune files.
The Predator handheld tuner comes pre-loaded with tunes that optimize spark timing and air/fuel ratio curves. It also remaps transmission parameters to improve the shift characteristics on Mustangs with automatic transmissions.
DiabloSport's products carry out programming in very small iterations that cover the entire RPM range. This results in smoother and more intuitive power delivery. DiabloSport engineers spend many hours testing in the shop, street and track to ensure the tunes that come pre-loaded on their Predator tuner are the best they can be.
Diablosport's pre-loaded tunes produce power gains of 15-20 horsepower and 15-20 ft-lbs of torque for Mustang GT and V6. Power gains for the Shelby GT500 are typically around 35-40 horsepower and 40-50 ft-lbs of torque. A Predator tuned Mustang will also have quicker acceleration, better throttle response, and better mileage, whether driving around town or cruising on the highway.
The Predator handheld tuning device can also program your Mustang's computer with custom tunes that you may need later (for performance modifications such as a cold air intake or headers, for instance). You can also update your Predator tuner online through Diablosport's or other performance tuners websites.
The Predator U7141 also allows you to tweak specific aspects of your Mustang's operation, such as:
- Wide open throttle (WOT) Spark Advance Table (+/- 10%)
- WOT Fuel Table 2000 to 4000 RPM (+/- 15%)
- WOT Fuel Table 4000 to redline (+/- 15%)
- Idle RPM (+/- 20%)
- Global Mass Air Table (+/- 30%)
- Speed Limiter - disable or enable
- Rev Limiter
- Electric Fan Temperature Controls
- Shift Timing - MPH and Engine RPM
- Global Spark Adder (+/- 10 degrees of timing)
