Efficient, Powerful, and Compact 2.9L Twin-Screw Head Unit

Whipple builds each of these complete Camaro SS supercharger kits around a massive 2.9L W175AX twin-screw supercharger system. This Whipple Generation II supercharger system features a specialized Lysholm Twin-Screw rotor design that's far more efficient than positive displacement supercharger systems that use Roots-Style rotor designs. Whipple's rotor design consists of a male three-lobe rotor and a female five-lobe rotor that interlock and force air between them and out into the system's intake manifold. The design actually compresses air before it exits the supercharger's case allowing for larger boost pressures and greater efficiency. The rotors are driven by a high-quality aluminum 6-rib supercharger pulley that puts down 9 to 10 psi of boost pressure and comes attached to a high-quality jackshaft and gear system. The supercharger's case features a front-feed intake design that helps make this supercharger even more efficient and powerful by delivering charge air directly to the W175AX's rotors. The head unit is entirely self-contained and self-lubricated, requiring no tapping of your Camaro's oil pan to run feed or return lines. The head unit even comes with a sight glass for checking oil levels and quality.

Features New Intake Manifold, Intercooler, and Intake System

While the head unit is certainly powerful, it's supported by a whole host of other performance upgrades that keep the supercharger running at its best and churning out the power your Camaro deserves. Each one of these Whipple supercharger systems comes with a complete cast aluminum intake manifold and an oversized air-to-water bar plate intercooler with an oversized bypass valve. Charge air from the supercharger passes through the intercooler which lowers its temperature while increasing its density before its forced through the intake manifold and into your LS3's cylinders. Whipple's intercooler is hooked into a highly efficient heat exchanger that reduces the intercooler's coolant temperatures to make it operate at its peak capacity. The supercharger is fed by a full intake system that features a huge inlet tube and MAF housing with a smooth inlet elbow that gives the rotors all the air they need to make great power.

Comes with Fuel Rails, Injectors, Boost-a-Pump, and Tuning

Whipple's supercharger system also gives your Camaro SS a full suite of fuel system and fuel management upgrades to maximize power gains and keep your LS3 running within a safe margin. Whipple provides two CNC machined billet aluminum fuel rails with all necessary line fittings and a fuel pressure check port, along with a full set of eight 63lb/hr fuel injectors. To get the fuel the W175AX system needs for your gas tank, Whipple includes one of their own Boost-a-Pump kit so that your engine doesn't get thirsty while throwing down all its impressive horsepower and torque. For PCM tuning, you'll need to ship your Camaro's engine computer back to Whipple's headquarters where their technicians will upload new software that gets your SS excellent power while keeping your engine operating in a safe margin.
