Awesome F150 builds that are going to see off-road use or are getting a fairly tall level may find out the hard way that the factory stamped steel upper control arms (UCAs) and their rubber ball joint just aren't up to the task. Grimm OffRoad's Tubular Uniball UCAs for 2004-2020 F150s give your aggressive F150 build vastly improved strength over stock while also increasing coil spring clearance and adding a bit of extra travel to make your F150 that much more capable when you head off the beaten path. Each set of Grimm OffRoad UCAs are built around an extremely strong uniball joint that's far stronger than stock and can handle far more abuse without shearing than a standard rubber ball joint. The arms themselves are made out of strong, tubular steel and are shaped to provide more spring clearance than stock to help your truck avoid spring contact with a 2" or taller leveling kit or set of coilovers. The Grimm OffRoad F150 upper control arms drop right into place of your factory UCAs in an easy, bolt-on installation so that you get extra durability and capability in a hassle-free package.

1" PTFE Lined Uniball in CNC Machined Cup with Mandrel-Bent Tubular Steel Arms and Poly Bushings

The Grimm OffRoad UCAs for 2004-2020 F150s were designed for strength, and will let you and your truck rip around off the beaten path without letting you down. The heart of the Grimm OffRoad UCAs is their 1" uniball joint that offers both increased structural strength and better deflection angles than the stock UCAs. The uniball cup is made out of CNC machined 4130 steel where the 1", PTFE uniball is housed. The control arms come standard with an incredibly strong 17-4 steel adapter that bolts right through the factory spindle without the need for additional modifications. The arms themselves are made from 1026 tubular steel that's carefully mandrel-bent to ensure a perfect fit onto your truck. Each UCA mounts to your truck's frame using the OEM hardware and come with bushing houses with Zerk fittings that makes for easy maintenance. The bushings themselves are made out of polyurethane that's more resistant to deflection than stock rubber bushings while still having a quiet operation. The arms are topped off with a gloss black powder coat finish for a great look and corrosion resistance. Grimm OffRoad includes all necessary installation hardware and instructions. The arms are made in the USA and come backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Will not fit Raptors: these UCAs will not fit SVT or Ford Performance Raptors.

Backspacing requirements: these UCAs require a wheel with a maximum of a 5" backspace to clear a 12.50" wide tire. Stock wheels can be used, but you'll be limited to a 295 wide/11.5" wide tire.

2019 F150 STX

I have been very happy with these Grimm control arms on my F150. They look great and perform as good as any of the top brand arms out there on the market. Money well spent and definitely a great performance mod when leveling my truck out to keep the geometry in correct form.

2019 Ford F150

Awesome product, easy install. Very comparable to the icon delta joints i had on my last truck but a little more budget friendly. Also, Grimm offroad is a great American Based company that sells awesome American made products!

2016 F-150 w/6" lift

If you are even considering modifying your F-150 these should be the very first thing you get. I have a 6 inch lift, 4.56 gears and 37 inch Mickey Thompsons on mine. I have the extended steering knuckles (for the 6 inch lift) so the truck had the factory UCAs. After replacing the lower ball joints I noticed the UCAs would not torque. The sleeve spacers in the factory UCAs had lost their strength (and length) and would flop around like a fish. The only place for factory UCAs are in the TRASH. I didn't realize how much my UCAs were contributing to the handing and steering feel. These GRIM UCAs are amazing and made my truck solid again and the steering feels new. My only regret is not doing this sooner. Make these your #1 priority over other mods and you won't be disappointed.

2013 Ford F-150 Supercrew 4WD

These are such an improvement over stock arms and provide the clearance needed to avoid contact with coils. Articulation is excellent and the build quality is fantastic.

2020 F150 FX4 Lariat

Great control arms. I won’t be doing a ton of off-roading in this truck, but I didn’t care for the factory UCA angles I’d seen on other truck. I decided to spend the extra and do these with my Falcon tow/haul leveling kit. I’m glad I did. The geometry looks much better! These are a must for off-roaders going up 2+ inches in the front, but I’d recommend them for street trucks too. Because I did the UCA and lift at the same time I’m not sure how they affected road manners, but the combination of everything is great! I wouldn’t say it rides “stiffer”, but maybe it does ride a little firmer. I prefer the way it rides now. The truck feels planted and solid. The factory suspension felt soggy to me. I bought the dust caps too. It bit pricey for what they are, but the Grimm setup is competitively priced even with the cost of the caps.

2018 F150

Bought these arms for my F150 which has a 3 inch lift and they make a world of difference! Allows for way more suspension travel, oem UCA always hit the strut. They give the truck an overall cleaner look in the wheel well and the quality is great!

These uca are slightly longer which corrects the upper ball joint angles as well as gives the springs more room so you don't have issues with spring contact at full droop. The arms and uniball joint are much stronger than stock so it would definitely be considered an upgrade to stock uca. You should have no clearance issues with a 275mm wide tire.

I have the bilstein 5100 leveling kit at at the highest front height, I replaced upper and lower control arms with OEM motorcraft, if I bought these would they be an upgrade in anyway or maybe no difference? I'm running 275/70/18 terra grappler g3s

I purchase this from stage 3 and received literally only the Upper control arm and no hardware or bushings and ball joints which is shown in the photos and supposed to come with it. Is there a kit thays sold separately for this? Or can I get the original hardware that I paid for.

I replaced my OEM struts with Bilstein 5100s and currently have a black rhino barstow 17x9.5 paired with 315x70R17 tires installed on my 2014 F150 XLT. The rims has +12 offset and a back spacing of 5.70". Will this UCA fit? Thanks.
