The brackets are positioned to avoid an increase in wind noise and whistling, and use a pre-existing bolt under the hood cowl for installation. Light fitment: these hood brackets were designed to fit 3" cube, 4" round lights, and close equivalents. That being said, the mounting screws for some off-road lights may be too long to clear the hood cowl, and you may require different hardware or modifications to your light of choice's included hardware.
