Strong Tubular Steel Construction with Uprated Ball Joint and Rubber Bushings
The BDS UCAs manage to provide more strength and durability than the factory control arms, all while keeping your F150's ride clean and quiet, even in aggressive applications. The control arms are made out of 1.5" diameter mandrel-bent tubular steel with .120" wall thickness and a gloss black powder coat finish, which makes them much stronger than the factory stamped steel upper control arms. The control arms are built around an uprated MOOG ball joint in and indexed housing that allows for slightly more travel and articulation than stock while helping the UCAs avoid spring contact in leveled applications. The ball joint is replaceable, and uses an extremely common MOOG part number that's easy to find. The control arms use high-durometer rubber bushings for their body mounts which are quieter and more reliable than polyurethane bushings. Fitment:
