Compared to a solid-surface rotor, this StopTech Sport Cross-Drilled Rear Rotor doesn't allow gases released by the brake pad to create a cushion between the pad and brake rotor.

The intricate slots greatly reduce heat across the surface of the rotor, keeping it up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than your stock blanks. The design of this rotor helps clear away brake dust, gasses, and other debris from your pads to give you more bite and consistent braking performance. The hat area on this rotor features a special black, anti-corrosion coating that protects the cooling vanes and mounting surface from rusting prematurely. This rotor has a zinc dichromate finish that is also corrosion resistant and has a nice silver color that looks great behind a set of Mustang aftermarket wheels.
