I don't know how to describe this exhaust system except PERFECT. It is the perfect mix of aggressive (REALLY aggressive) sound when you want it, but totally unnoticeable when cruising at highway speeds or just poking around town. Touring would have been disappointingly quiet, ATAK would have been, well, ridiculous, haha. Quality is obviously second to none. The side exit is a nice little custom touch that will set you apart from the masses of dual rear exit pickups out there. My advice to you is to save your pennies for this system, because it is worth it in every way. Couldn't be more satisfied.

Really nice aggressive throaty sound for the f150s. Is not too loud or mellow it's just perfect. And it really looks good for the showroom floor.

All I have to say is, wow. Exhaust sounds phenomenal. All 304 Stainless, looks fantastic, polished tips and received it 2 days after ordering it, thanks Stage3. Will say, this exhaust is a little louder than I thought it would be based on reviews and videos but I am very happy with it overall. Little loud on cold start but quiet at idle and regular driving, you can just hear it with the windows up and some music playing. No drone on the highway, just as stated above, its just there as you're driving along, perfect. And when you open it up, it roars, sounds awesome. Good exhaust for the 5.0.

The exhaust was delivered and installed today, very straightforward install, had more issues removing the OE system, I did the entire job in my garage, no lift, no jack stands, etc.... total job (with several breaks..LOL) about an hour and a half. The sound was better than expected, I had alternated between the S Type and the Touring system, glad I decided on the S Type, as others have said, the Touring would've been too mild. If you're on the fence about a Borla exhaust, I recommend pulling the trigger. It's pricet, no doubt, but well worth the price. The folks at Stage 3 are extremely good to deal with, fast free shipping and they had the best price.

High quality, great sounding exhaust system! I love the look of the dual tips and the mean sounds that come out of them. Definitely an improvement over the stock system. Borla's use of T304 Stainless Steel gives me peace of mind that this exhaust won't look like rusted garbage in a year or two. Look around and you'll definitely notice the guys that went the cheap route (409SS) by the embarrassing rusted out muffler hanging under their truck. Don't be that guy! Get the Borla!

Shop install, Total time was roughly 40 Minutes. Going from a no name brand rusted straight pipe that was on the vehicle when purchased the borla S-type was more quiet but sound quality is a night and day difference. My only compaint so far would be the volume at idle and at low RPM's is nearly non existent. In hind sight Im wondering if I'm thinking the ATAK would be a better choice. I've only had it installed for an hour so far so maybe sound will change with time.

Awesomeness! rattled a little but because exhaust tips clang together. Widened the gap between exhaust tips with crow bar. Works like a charm!

Sound is amazing. Not too loud not too quiet. On start up it’s pretty aggressive but toned down very nicely. Would recommend this if your looking for an awesome sounding, good build quality exhaust

Took to professional installer and took about 3 hours from start to finish. There was a small problem with one of the hookup bars as it was welded on the wrong side of the exhaust tube. Wasn't that big of a problem. I also replaced the tips with black tips and painted the entire length with semi-gloss black spray paint. On my Ruby red Metallic truck with black trim - this looks awesome. The sound is incredible. On startup it's definitely wake your neighbors loud but during normal running around town its a nice low growl. Unless, you goose it then it makes all the cops in my town perk up and look around.

IMO the best sounding for a v6.very easy install on a lift by myself. Quality and Fitment of borla was spot on. Shout out to stage3 and borla for your customer service.My muffler was damaged in opening box.Borla shipped new one in a few days.

2015 Ford F150 Ext cab XLT FX4
Took about 2 hours to install from setup and install. Removed spare and heat shield, this allowed removing stock exhaust without cutting. Install was perfect, everything fit as it should. Sound is great, quiet when I want it to be, loud when I want it to be.

Customer Question I ordered the s type for my 2015 with 5.0l seems like I lost power and the mpg went down 2to3 miles I tried with my stock resonator and I got the mpg back to normal should I drive it for a while to break it in or did you guys had any problems like this before ?

Customer Answer In general, a cat-back kit alone won't result in a dip in fuel economy or power. Most folks see a dip in fuel economy, since they're putting their foot down more to hear the exhaust, and your truck's ECU does "learn" your driving habits and modifications (if any), and it can take a full 500-1000 mile drive cycle for it to relearn any changes you've made to your truck or driving habits.

Customer Question What about the regular cab? How can I get this to fit a 2.7 EB regular cab, short bed?

Customer Answer You likely won't be able to get this kit to work on an F150 with a 126" wheelbase. Due to the placement of the resonator included in this kit, I don't think you'd be able to shorten the inlet pipe enough or reposition the hangars properly to get the kit installed on your truck. Your best bet would be to give us a call directly at 1-877-578-2433 for an alternative system that will fit your truck.

Customer Question I just traded in my '14 5.0 for a '16 5.0. I had the flowmaster outlaw on my '14 and HATED it! way to loud(A lot of drone) and did not even sound good. Had a crackely Harley sound not even a rumble. So for the new truck I am at Borla S-type vs touring vs the banks monster. I want ZERO drone. Recommendation? PS can you order Borlas with black tips?

Customer Answer Out of the three that you've chosen, the S-Type will be the most aggressive, the Borla Touring will be the middle child, and the Banks will be the most mellow. The S-Type will have some amount of cabin noise at cruising speeds, but it won't be anywhere near as bad as the Flowmaster Outlaw system. The Borla Touring will have little to no drone, since it comes with a Borla resonator as well as a Borla muffler. The Banks Monster Kit is pretty mellow since it keeps the factory resonator, though it still sounds good when you step on the throttle. Unfortunately, Borla does not offer their side exit kits with black tip options as of yet.

Customer Question How does this sound on a 2.7 or 3.5 ecoboost? Does it make the turbos sound louder?

Customer Answer We haven't yet done our own exhaust testing as of yet, however, the only reliable way of getting a more noticeable spool or whine sound out of your turbochargers is with a downpipe and tune.
