Complete Off-Road LED Light Hood Mount Solution

There's nothing better than getting a clean mounting solution for your off-road lighting that allows you to use them to their full effect, and the one-two punch of Grimm OffRoad Hood Hinge Mounts and a pair of KC HiLites Flex Era 1 Series Single Off-Road LED Lights gives your 2015-2020 F150 one heck of an off-road lighting combination. The Grimm OffRoad Hood Mounts easily install onto your F150's hood hinge studs without any modifications and set the two KC Flex Singles just outboard of your windshield and above your F150's hood so that they can effectively cast out their light without blocking your vision or causing excess glare. The KC HiLites Flex Series Singles provide an enormous amount of light output in an extremely small and compact package, providing you and your truck with a ton forward-facing light without taking up a bunch of room.

Heavy-Duty Steel Light Mounts with Powerful, Yet Small Off-Road LED Lights

The Grimm OffRoad hood hinge mounts are made out of durable, laser-cut steel and come standard with a 20% gloss black powder coat finish that fits in perfectly with most F150 styling themes and the included KC Flex Single Lights. The KC Flex Series Singles are each only 2.25" wide, 2.45" tall, and 2.92" long, but are each built around a 10-watt CREE LED that's capable of producing 975 raw lumens per light. The Flex Series Singles features a strong, die-cast aluminum housing with built-in heat sinks and a polycarbonate lens that makes them extraordinarily strong and durable. The KC Flex Series Lights are available in either a spot beam or spread beam pattern (for installation on the hood mounts, we recommend the spot beams for most applications), and come with options for their bezel color, with gold being standard. Each KC Flex kit comes with a full set of wiring and a KC switch that can be mounted just about anywhere in your F150's cab.

KC Flex and Grimm OffRoad Compatibility Note: the mounting bolt included with the KC Flex Series Singles is too large of a diameter for proper fitment into the Grimm OffRoad Mounts. Enlarging the mounting hole or use of a smaller bolt will be required for installation.

Bezel Note: the KC Flex Series Lights come with gold bezels as standard. Red, blue, or black bezels are available at additional cost

These lights are awesome - bezel is easy to change, mount was simple to install, and the wiring wasn't bad at all. In total, I probably had 2-3 hours install time, and I have no experience in electrical at all. Overall, super bright, very sleek, and a great purchase.

Are the Bezel's removalable so I can powdercoat them a different color?

Yep. The bezels can be removed for custom painting/powder coating. Just keep in mind that they are anodized by KC, so you may need to take some extra steps to ensure the powder coating adheres.

Will the spread beam glare off of the hood?

To some extent, yes. However, glare with the spread beams isn't too bad due to the way the hood slants and the way the lights sit in the hood mounts. That being said, we generally recommend using spot beams for this particular application

Will this set up work with a aftermarket hood such as the rksport hood?

Yep. This kit should fit fine with the RK Sport Ram-Air Hood, though you may need to use a shorter bolt than the one that's included with the KC lights to avoid hitting the hood and nicking your paint.

Can this setup survive a car wash?

Using a car wash with rollers could bend the brackets and damage your truck's paint and/or hood. The lights would physically survive, however.

Do these come with covers, or are there any companies that make a cover for these? Its the difference between being able to install them since my state is pretty strict on having additional lights cover for road use.

Unfortunately, KC does not currently have black/opaque light covers for the Flex Series Lights for folks in California and other states that can't have uncovered off-road lights on public roads. However, KC is currently developing black and opaque covers for the Flex Series, and they're slated for release around July/August 2017.

Does this bracket match up to a 2016 F250? Or is there a different set of brackets?

Will the brackets work with a 2017 Raptor?

ZRoadZ has not yet confirmed fitment of their brackets on a 2017 Raptor. Given the differences in hood design, the 2017 Raptors will likely require a different bracket.

This package will not fit a 2009-2014 F150 due to the brackets having a very different design. We do have a version for 2009-2014 F150s right here.
