You get your choice of a single 5-Star Custom Tune in your choice of style and fuel octane that will be emailed to you for upload onto your SCT device of choice.

5-Star's tunes can turn up your 2015-2017 F150 EcoBoost's boost pressure while adjusting its fuel curves, ignition timing, fan control, and a ton of other variables so that your aggressive 2015-2017 F150 build makes huge amounts of horsepower and torque. 5-Star's custom tuning even takes into account your truck's tire size, drivetrain, and axle ratio so that you F150 operates perfectly with your choice of tune. 5-Star's custom tunes are available in several different flavors for 87, 89, 91, or 93 octane gasoline to give you a huge variation in options for your truck.
The 2.7L EcoBoost's factory tuning is "interesting" to say the least. With a torque curve and power output more geared to fuel economy, along with pretty conservative tuning to keep its baseline outputs under the 3.5L EcoBoost trucks, there's plenty left on the table for 5-Star to work with and really transform your 2.7L EcoBoost F150. The baseline power output of 5-Star's test truck at its tires was about 250 horsepower and just over 325lb-ft of torque. With 5-Star's powerful 93 octane Performance tune, that same 2.7L EcoBoost truck put down
310 horsepower and 425lb-ft of peak torque. That's a gain of
60 horsepower and 100lb-ft of torque over stock. Most impressively is that the
30% gain in peak torque took place at 2500rpm, where stock torque sat at a measly 315lb-ft, giving you a big bump in pulling power and off-the-line performance without the turbo lag and hesitation of the factory tune. 5-Star's Performance/Tow tunes also offer awesome improvements in performance with the 93 octane Performance/Tow tune taking peak power to 290 horsepower and 380lb-ft of torque, while the 87 octane Performance/Tow tune chucked down 275 horsepower and just over 360lb-ft of torque. The power gains are paired up with greatly overhauled transmission shift points and shift pressures which take most of the sluggishness out of your 2015-2017 F150 and let you really enjoy its improved power output.
Warranty vs. Non-Warranty Tune Note: there is no difference in function, horsepower, or torque between Warrantied Custom Tunes and Non-Warrantied Custom Tunes. The only difference between the two, whatsoever, is that Warrantied Tunes will have less parameters (i.e. tire size, gear ratio, etc) open to end-user adjustment. We here at Stage 3 Motorsport don't want to leave your F150 build hanging or force you to buy new tunes over and over again when you stack on new performance parts, which is why we started our
F150 Lifetime Tunes Program. Basically, you'll get
free retunes for as long as you own your truck when you buy products that require retuning from Stage 3 Motorsports. So, if you get a 5-Star custom tune for your truck, you'll get a a free retune down the road if you purchase a set of downpipes, water-methanol system, or other tunable part from Stage 3 Motorsports.
Industry-Leading Powertrain Warranty Options
Whenever you put an aftermarket ECU tune on your F150, there's a very real possibility that any repairs to your F150's Powertrain won't be covered under Ford's Powertrain Warranty, effectively causing it to be voided. We're now offering aftermarket warranties for your F150's Powertrain with a
2-year/24,000 mile, 5-year/60,000 mile, or a 6-year/100,000 mile Limited Warranty available for your truck. Either of these warranties will cover your truck's engine, transmission, drivetrain, front and rear gears, and any other hardware found to be damaged because of our custom tuning from 5-Star.
These warranties are much less expensive than nearly any other aftermarket warranty on the market and they give your truck up to $20,000 of coverage which even includes labor! The cost of our 5-year/60,000 mile warranty works out to .83 cents per mile, while our 6-year/100,000 warranty works out to a full penny per mile. That's inexpensive insurance in case anything happens to your aggressive, custom F150 build.
All you need to do is select one of our Limited Warranty options from the menu above. After we receive your payment, we'll email you our Limited Warranty Information Packet which has a registration form on its last page. Read through all the terms carefully then fill out the registration form, sign it, date it, and either mail it or scan and email back to us here at Stage 3. Once we've received and looked over your paperwork, your Limited Warranty of choice will be activated, and you can drive your truck with the knowledge that we here at Stage 3 have your back.
Off-Road Exhaust Systems: 5-Star can no longer provide custom tuning for off-road exhaust systems that delete catalytic converters. 5-Star can only tune for catted exhaust systems. However, 5-Star WILL NOT disable your rear oxygen sensors, which may result in a check engine light.
