The receiver itself is welded into place and strengthened with a steel collar giving it the ability to accept even the largest of towing accessories that have a 2-1/2" shank. This product is also protected with a carbide powder coat finish and cured with a rust resistant liquid bonderite coating. Class 5 trailer hitches provide peace of mind when towing large camp trailers and utility trailers that require a bumper pull setup.This product is specifically made to compliment your trucks towing capabilities.

CURT Manufacturing made this product with a large powerful main body that only requires simple bolt on installation that does not require any welding, cutting, or drilling. Included in this kit is everything needed for a smooth installation that includes strong grade-8 installation hardware. CURT engineers this product with high quality steel that is specifically tested to excel in heavy-duty towing applications. Installation of this product does require removal of the spare tire in certain applications and does not fit cab and chassis models. CURT Manufacturing explicitly states this product only works with factory bumpers. Even with having to remove the spare, that is only temporary installation of this product does not mean sacrificing the spare tire on your truck.
