Subtle Look and Mellow New Exhaust Note

Most EcoBoost aftermarket cat-back exhaust kits come with a huge tip or exhaust tips that definitely catch attention. If you're looking for a more subtle look for your 2011 to 2014 F150 EcoBoost, then this is the kit for you. The Magnaflow turn-down cat-back exhaust systems comes with extremely short tubing and a turn-down tip that dumps exhaust gasses under your truck's bed before its rear axle. The kit is perfect for getting a clean, no-tip look for your F150 and is a great choice for anyone who tows on the regular and doesn't want exhaust noise bouncing off their trailer, toy hauler, fifth wheel, or anything else. Despite it's small size and "dumped" design, the Magnaflow Turn-Down Cat-Back system has a nice, mellow sound when you're on the throttle with no drone at cruising or idle. This system is a unique cat-back, and a good choice for anyone looking for something more subtle than a traditional system.

Extraordinarily Easy Installation

These Turn-Down kits from Magnaflow come with an inlet tube that connects to your stock resonator pipe, a performance muffler assembly, and a turn-down tip. There are no over-axle pieces or other tubing, making this kit extremely easy to install. The turn down kit is made out of 409 stainless steel for excellent corrosion protection in most environments. The system features 3" diameter tubing all the way to the tip and comes with everything you need for installation. The kit bolts on to your truck right in place of stock. Magnaflow includes install instructions with each of these kits.

This cat-back kit keeps your factory resonator to keep overall volume down.

F150 Wheelbase Fitment: according to Magnaflow, this kit will only fit F150s with a 145" wheelbase. All other wheelbase sizes may require modifications to this system for proper fitment.

2014 F-150 Platinum

Installation: The hardest part of this is removing the stock exhuast. First unbolt the stock resonator and the rotate it (there is a little nub that locks it in place that you have to rotate free), and then pull it loose. Mine was VERY difficult to remove but just keep applying pressure and rotate it slightly back and forth and it will wiggle loose. After this the stock exhaust can slide right off the hangers (do not damage the grommets), but be aware it has a little weight to it. Put the exhaust together loosely and insert it into the hanger. Then install the stock resonator and tighten everything down once it is straight. (you can do the tip last to make sure if it aimed straight down). Sound/performance: The sound has a mellow note with some noise in the cab..no drone (it's a turn down under the cab...what do you expect?!). As for performance I can't speak much. I noticed an .5 MPG increase, but have no idea on anything else as I do not have a dyno. I already have my truck tuned, but I highly doubt if you have an increase with this alone you would notice it.

2012 F150 Super Crew

This is definitely a quality product. The exhaust is beautiful, great welds, stainless, great clamps and installed right up, and it's significantly lighter than the stock unit. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars, is because for an aftermarket exhaust, it's simply TOO mild. I was looking for a daily driver kind of exhaust that still had a nice exhaust tone I could hear. When I first fired up my truck, I could have sworn it was 100% as quiet as the stock exhaust. I was initially a little disappointed with the sound (the volume, not the note) It seems to have broken in a little bit since I installed it a month ago, and it does have a lower note/purr that the stock unit didn't, I just wish it was 10% louder. Using the factory resonator as designed, this exhaust produces absolutely no cabin drone.

Cat-back exhaust kits do not require retuning. Your tunes will not need to be revised for this kit.

What type of power gains can I expect?

Minimal, if any. Cat-backs on these trucks are really just about sound and aesthetics. You may see 5-10 peak horsepower at a maximum.

Will the Corsa resonator delete pipe work with this kit?

Possibly. The only issue is that the Turn-Down Kit steps down for the factory tubing, so you may need a stepped or form-fit clamp in order to get them to play nicely together.

We don't have any specific numbers for this kit. Because it's installed onto the factory resonator assembly, you probably won't see any significant performance gains.
