One of the best ways to take your tough 2015-2017 F150 to the next level of power is by swapping out the stock throttle body for this high-performance alternative from BBK. This version of BBK's Power Plus Throttle Body measures 85mm in diameter, which allows a much larger volume of charge air to enter your intake manifold to help it produce much more horsepower and torque over stock. The much larger diameter also provides greatly improved throttle response to help get your aggressive 5.0L F150 off the line quicker and meaner. The BBK Throttle Body is extremely easy to install and bolts on right in place of the stock throttle body with no cutting, drilling or other modifications.

BBK's 85mm throttle body has a larger diameter than your factory stock unit and is built with excellent quality, extreme durability, and perfect fitment in mind. Engineered right here in the USA, BBK's throttle bodies are CNC machined from 356 aluminum castings and are fitted with an O-ringed throttle shaft, double-sealed bearings, and die-stamped throttle linkages. I purchased this due to factory throttle body making a popping sound and the truck had a rough idle and would occasionally stall at stop lights. I went with the 85mm in hope of increasing air flow and it has; the truck hasn’t stalled since the installation and the idle is solid. I am pleased.

The delivery was fast insulation time to maybe a half hour it was easy peasy overall product good so far better fuel and better throttle response so far so good put it on a 2015 Ford F150 5.0 v8

2015 F150 Supercab 5.0 liter

Installation was easy,and in combination with the cai and exhaust, made the truck run better. The seat of the pants-o-meter tells me the truck has more power at higher rpm levels. Next is a custom tune.

2015 Ford F-150 5.0

I noticed a big difference in take off and when going up a hill my truck didn’t down shift much with the extra horsepower that was added with the throttle body. Easy to install and took less than an hour like instructions stated it was more like 30 minutes, but only because the rubber boot from the air intake was a little tight fit but super easy to install throttle body.And if you have a tuner it’s even better with throttle body. Great purchase if you’re looking for a extra tweak.

f150 Lariat 5.0

Install - 9/10. Super easy, I had a very difficult sensor clip that would not come off, so that slowed down what would have otherwise been a 15 minute install. Performance - 7/10 Noticeable throttle response. I was switching this out for a throttle body spacer, so I can't compare to stock, but it definitely has less of that lag feeling and holds a more steady acceleration through the 3k rpm range Price: 5/10 Other: Kiss any fuel economy you thought you had goodbye. I got a custom "eco" tune and still, this upgrade has me getting around 9mpg down from 11-12

Ford f-150

Do not purchase this throttle body got it with with kit and have nothing but problems and since it finally decided to finally go out completely after a little over a yr im am stuck with a truck not running and a 500 paper weight wouldn't be really upset about it going out but only have around 5 thousand miles on it and for the price it cost you would think it would last for years so if you can I wouldn't purchase

F150 5.0 owner

Throttle body was a simple bolt on enhancement. The only thing, I have an airfare spacer. The bolts were too short, and bolt heads were too fat to cinch down. Does anyone know where I can get 6x 70 mm with round hex bolts. This should work.

We can't guarantee that you won't have issues. On one hand, Roush's tuning isn't the most aggressive in the world, and only jumping up to an 85mm throttle body that technically works fine with the stock tune likely wouldn't be a big deal. On the other hand, Roush's tune is specifically made for the factory throttle body, and there's the potential for at least a weird idle or jumpy throttle response. Your best bet would be to speak to Roush and see what kind of leeway their tune has.
