Powerful 5 Star Custom Tuning
5 Star's custom tuning provides your 2017-2020 F150's 3.5L EcoBoost V6 with some of the best bang-for-your-buck power gains on the market. Your truck's two turbochargers churn out around 14 to 16 psi of boost pressure from the factory, but 5 Star turns up your turbos so that they're spitting out up
18 to 20 psi of boost while adjusting your engine's fuel curves and ignition timing to take full advantage of all the extra air. The end result is a bunch more horsepower and torque that pairs with revised transmission tuning so that your truck drives flawlessly in whatever application you have in mind. You get your choice of three 5 Star Custom Tunes that will be emailed to you for upload onto your SCT or Bully Dog device.

5 Star's tunes can turn up your 2017-2020 F150 3.5L EcoBoost's boost pressure while adjusting its fuel curves, ignition timing, fan control, and a ton of other variables so that your F150 makes huge amounts of horsepower and torque. 5 Star's custom tuning even takes into account tire size, drivetrain, and axle ratio so that your truck operates perfectly with your choice of tune. 5 Star's custom tunes are available in several variations for 87, 89, 91, or 93 octane gasoline to give you a wide range of tuning options.
The 2017-2020 F150 3.5L EcoBoosts are already some quick trucks. Their torquey EcoBoost motors paired with a 10-speed transmission makes them blistering fast with the factory tuning, but 5 Star's custom tuning takes their excellent power and quickness to entirely new levels. 5 Star's test truck put down roughly 325 horsepower and 400lb-ft of torque on its factory tune. With 5 Star's 93 Octane Performance Tune, that same truck threw down 445 horsepower and 500lb-ft of torque at its peak. That's gains of
125 horsepower and
100lb-ft of torque. While the gains themselves are extremely impressive on their own, 5 Star's 93 Octane Performance Tune also features a more linear torque curve and carries its gains higher into the rev range than the factory tuning, which greatly improves drivability and feel. Even 5 Star's 87 Performance/Tow tune managed to hit nice numbers, picking up noticeable gains in torque while carrying more horsepower farther into the rev range.
Stage 3's 5-Star Custom Tuning Step-by-Step:
1. You place your order for 5-Star's Custom Tunes.
2. You hook the tuner into your vehicle and pull its ECU strategy code.
3. You fill out our online tune form with the information from your truck and its strategy code.
4. If your truck has Ford's latest strategy updates, we'll forward your information over to 5-Star and get your tunes created.
5. Once 5-Star creates your tunes, you will be emailed a link to download them from our Google Drive.
6. Download 5-Star's tunes to your PC and then load them to your tuning device using SCT's Device Updater Software.
7. Now you can successfully load your 5-Star Custom Tune of choice into your Ford.
Warranty vs. Non-Warranty Tune Note: there is no difference in function, horsepower, or torque between Warrantied Custom Tunes and Non-Warrantied Custom Tunes. The only difference between the two, whatsoever, is that Warrantied Tunes will have less parameters (i.e. tire size, gear ratio, etc) open to end-user adjustment.
Off-Road Exhaust Systems: 5 Star can no longer provide custom tuning for off-road exhaust systems that delete catalytic converters. 5 Star can only tune for catted exhaust systems. However, 5 Star WILL NOT disable your rear oxygen sensors, which may result in a check engine light.
NON-REFUNDABLE: Once custom tunes have been ordered, they cannot be refunded.
