The rack is capable of this because it utilizes stake pocket bed mounts which attach the rack to the four corners of your truck bed, allowing for uninterrupted tonneau cover use. The stake pocket bed mount utilizes a c-clamp style mechanism to secure the rack to the truck's bed rails without requiring additional drilling, cutting, or modification. Putco created the Venture TEC Rack with claw grip joints to ensure every joint is secured with a four-bolt mechanism and a CoreTEC block that ensures rack stabilization during any application. The integrated tie-down points help create additional storage opportunities and provide security for cargo.
