Makes Recovery Quicker and Easier

Improve the amount of anchor points with this 8in recovery distribution link and soft shackle kit from Overland Vehicle Systems. This link is crafted with from aircraft grade strength aluminum and is rated for 45,000lbs. The design of this link features 4 rigging points that you can secure with steel or soft shackles. In addition to the multiple mounting points, Overland Vehicle Systems also added an angle scale that makes it so much easier to estimate your sling. Overland Vehicle Systems also designs this link to allow for the continuity of the recovery configurations thanks to the symmetry.

Soft Shackles Stronger Than Steel

The other part of this kit are the two 5/8 soft shackles that are included. The shackles that are included feature Dyneema which is a low-friction fiber, which means braided synthetic line will run easily through soft shackles, meaning you can often get away without using a traditional snatch block for applications where standard recovery isn’t enough. The Dyneema is advertised to be so strong that in order to equal it's strength a wire rope would have to be triple the thickness of the standard. Another example of how strong the soft shackle would be is compared to a stainless steel shackle with a 3/4in pin would have less than half the breaking strength.
