2019-2023 Ford Ranger ICON Multi-Rate Leaf Springs with Hardware 198520

One of the best upgrades I have purchased!!!! The vehicle sat much higher than advertised in the configuration they came in. So I removed the third leaf down in the pack and now it is absolutely perfect. Wayyyy improved ride quality. Wash board roads are literally 150% better. I love it. Money very well spent.

Rides like a dream, but I can’t stand the sound. I will start off with why I love them and then the issues. I purchased these because I had way too much sag with the stock leafs. I carry about 350+ pounds daily in the bed. These springs lifted the rear back up and significantly reduced the awful bouncing that so many complain about in the ranger. I’ve driven on them for about 900 miles and they still work great. Love the ride. They do the job! Wish I could leave it at just that. The leaf packs are shipped with just cling wrap holding the extra leaf and hardware together with the main leaf pack. So there is no real protection from drops or banging around and the hardware isn’t very secure. Both leaf packs came with damage to the plastic shims that keep the leafs aligned (no biggie). And one hardware pack was missing (which is/will be an issue). In configuration 3, which I will eventually utilize to accommodate more weight, you need that hardware. Stage 3 was gracious enough to send out a whole new leaf pack since there was damage and Icon doesn’t sell the hardware separately. When the third leaf pack arrived, it was again missing the hardware! I called Icon at this point and a representative actually admitted to the fact that these get lost all the time and that it’s usually the shippers fault. They are also short on that hardware and didn’t have any spare parts to send me but would work to resolve the issue. 2.5 months later still no word from either Icon or Stage 3. I was also told by Icon that I don’t really need that extra hardware. It’s just there to help reduce noise, which brings me to my biggest gripe. After about a week of driving the leaf springs started to squeak really loudly to the point where drivers with their windows up can hear and would turn and look. Not just over bumps. When getting in the truck, braking, accelerating on smooth ground. They just squeak with the slightest movement. I’m sure with enough trouble shooting I can solve the issue. But if they squeak now with all the hardware, how are you going to tell me I don’t need the extra hardware especially when installing the third leaf? A little frustrated. To be fair. I think this is an Icon and freight issue. The guys at stage 3 have been great at trying to resolve this for me. I think just better packing on these would help items not get lost or damaged.

I wanted these for a softer spring as opposed to the mono leaf that’s factory on the ranger. One to give me more flex and two to help with the harshness of hitting potholes and such on the street. They helped a good bit with on road comfort but I must say they are a ton more flexy offroad. I’ve taken the truck out a handful of times with these on now and where I used to lift a rear tire it now stays planted and offers way more traction by doing so. They were a breeze to install and took 1.5 hours start to finish. I am running them as just the leaf pack without the insert and gained about 1” in the rear with 1/4 tank of fuel. With a full tank it lowers about 3/8”. I haven’t carried any payload in the bed since installing them so can’t speak to that but for both street and offroad performance they have surpassed my expectations. Also, as usual, Stage 3 got them to me super fast and in perfect condition. If you’re looking for some softer rear springs these should do the job for sure.

These springs are a godsend. It has improved my trucks ride to the point I forget sometimes I am in a truck. While also letting me still pull a trailer and stuff in the bed like on the OEM Springs. I also paired these with the Eibach Pro-Truck Rear Struts and 2.0 Front Coilovers and a Hellwig Ajustable rate Rear Sway Bar.

very smooth. stage 3 had these at my door in a few days, super fast shipping! mounted these up in original configuration, sat at 1.5 driver and 2” passenger, definitely not 3/8” as advertised. popped out the third leaf- sitting 1” above stock so they should settle out perfectly. ride is great. back no longer tenses up on bumps.

These leaf springs are a good improvement in ride quality over the factory leaf springs, which in my opinion ride much too stiff and harsh. While these ICON springs are not perfect, I can now drive the truck on the I-405 in West LA without fear of herniating another disk in my spine.

the good is they are way more comfortable than factory on and offroad way more flex than factory butt a lot more axle wrap and hop. would like to see some traction bars to eliminate this unfortunate problem with these
