While there was nothing inherently wrong with Wagner's EVO1 intercooler for the 2015-2020 Mustang EcoBoosts, with so many 2.3L EcoBoost Mustangs pushing ridiculous amounts of horsepower with turbo swaps and aggressive tuning, Wagner needed a next-generation intercooler to keep up with the cooling needs of the most aggressively-modified EcoBoost Mustangs. Wagner's EVO2 Intercooler kit for the 2015-2017 2.3L EcoBoost Mustangs takes things to the next level with an even more massive intercooler core and front-facing surface area to keep the charge air temperatures of your heavily modified EcoBoost Pony down during hard driving and track use. The EVO2 intercooler has 226% more core volume and a 175% larger cooling surface than stock, ensuring that your Mustang's IATs stay under control no matter how much boost pressure your Pony is throwing out.

All-Aluminum, Tube-Fin Design with Carbon Fiber Shroud

Wagner's EVO2 Competition Intercooler is made entirely out of aluminum, and features both a larger and more efficient core design to maximize cooling and airflow. The intercooler core features a massive 19,900cm³ internal volume and uses a specialized tube-fin design so that air can still flow to your Mustang's radiator fairly unimpeded. Each EVO2 Intercooler uses cast aluminum end tanks that dissipate heat much more effectively than the stock plastic end tanks and were carefully designed to promote more efficient airflow. The EVO2 intercooler even comes with a carbon fiber air shroud that helps direct slipstream air into the cooling surface for improved efficiency. The Wagner EVO2 Intercooler comes standard with a black finish and includes installation hardware and instructions.
