The system's W140AX 2.3L twin-screw head unit dumps massive amounts of air into your 5.4L's cylinders and comes with aggressive Whipple tuning that can get your motor churning out 525 horsepower and and 570lb-ft of torque at the crankshaft, serving as the backbone of an out-and-out performance build.

Large, Efficient, and Powerful Whipple 2.3L Head Unit

The Whipple W140AX supercharger system's heart and soul is an immensely powerful Whipple 2.3L Lysholm Twin-Screw head unit with unique design features from Whipple. Whipple's twin-screw head unit design features a Generation II three-lobe male rotor and five-lobe female rotor that interlock as they're spun by the system's supercharger pulley. The rotors pull air between and through their lobes which compresses inbound charge air before it even exits the supercharger's casing, unlike a less efficient Roots-Style supercharger that compresses air after it passes to the manifold. From the head unit, the massive amount of compressed charge air passes through a huge Fluidyne air-to-water intercooler that cools it down and increases its density as the air moves through to help improve power gains and provide more efficient operation. The head unit is spun by an included 6-rib supercharger pulley that puts down up to 8psi of boost pressure when used with Whipple's PCM tuning. The 2.3L W140AX head unit is a self-contained and self-lubricated system and features an oil sight glass to check supercharger oil levels and quality.

On top of the head unit, this complete 2.3L Whipple supercharger system comes decked out with other high performance parts and tuning that helps keep your supercharger system operating at its peak. Whipple's system comes standard with the intercooler, a complete heat exchanger system for lowering the coolant temperatures moving through the intercooler, a complete reservoir system, a full intake system upgrade with a high-flow air filter and larger inlet tubing, pulley with idler, bypass valve, and a supercharger belt. For tuning, you'll need to remove your truck's PCM and ship it to Whipple where their technicians will upload new powertrain management software that gets you all the power and torque your F150 needs while avoiding engine damage.
