NHRA-Approved Safety Component
With high-powered drag cars it is not uncommon for the driveshaft's front and rear U-joints to break. If you've modified your 2007-2014 Shelby GT500 to be a competitive track star, this minor upgrade could keep you and your Shelby safe from a major accident. BMR's Driveshaft Safety Loops are made to NHRA specifications with a 1/4'' x 2'' plate. It simply bolts on to your GT500's existing mounting holes, so no welding or drilling is required. If your Mustang GT500 runs 12.99 or quicker in the quarter mile, a driveshaft safety loop isn't just a good idea, it's required by NHRA rules. We had one installed on our 2007 Mustang GT - TRoush Project Car but it fits the GT500 as well.
