Even though we've put together our fair share of extremely powerful trucks, including all of our Powerstrokes that put down close to a thousand lb-ft of torque, this 2007 FX4 F150 was probably the most capable off-road machine that we ever created. This truck was able of going just about anywhere and we tried our damnedest to get it irretrievably stuck somewhere in the middle of the great deserts wastes outside of Phoenix, without any luck. While we don't have any raw horsepower figures for that truck, we know that it probably wasn't much. Any extra power from stock came from an octane performance tune courtesy of an Edge CTS Tuner, an Airaid cold air intake kit, and a Flowmaster Force II Cat-back exhaust kit. All-in-all, this truck put down maybe 45 horsepower and 50 lb-ft of torque over stock on a good day with the stars aligned just right.
However, what it lacked in power it more than made up for in dedicated off-road hardware. The main component of this truck's suspension setup was a ProComp 6" lift kit with their standard ES9000 white-body shocks, that was then augmented by a ProComp 2" leveling kit and 1" ProComp add-a-leaf kit in the rear. With all these lift systems stacked on top of each other, the truck had about 9" of total lift and was able to get on 17" Black Rhino wheels and 35" Khumo Tires that gave it even more ground clearance and an even taller look. Complimenting the full suite of F150 off-road suspension upgrades was a complete off-road lighting setup that included HID lights in its aftermarket headlights and fog lights, four Baja Design Soltek-LaPaz 8" spot lights mounted on a SmittyBilt light bar, and LED taillights and third brake light. For the exterior, the truck featured a set of SVT Raptor-Style matte-black vinyl graphics and a Saleen F150 grille to go along with it's blacked-out lighting upgrades and wheels.
