The Right Wheels and Tires Can Make all the Difference

The 2017 Super Duty rests at a respectable height from the factory, which means even a 4" lift makes it look like a monster truck. That also means huge wheels and tires look right at home on the new F250 and F350. We outfitted our own 2017 F250 Super Duty Project Truck with 20x10" Fuel Mavericks with a -12mm offset, combined with 35x12.50R20 Toyo Open Country M/Ts. Check out the results below, and if you like this setup and want to try it out on your own Super Duty, you'll also need a leveling kit of at least 2" or taller to be able to clear the tires.

With an absolutely massive selection of wheels and tires of all different styles and sizes, you have a nearly limitless amount of options to get your truck the look and capability you want. While 12" wide wheels may seem a little silly at first, especially if you're used to cars, the effect of 12-inchers really does a lot of favors for your truck's stance, especially if you're running around on a big lift kit. In order to get enough clearance to throw a much tougher-looking combination of off-road tires and wheels onto our 2014 F250 6.7L Super Duty Build, we grabbed one of ICON's Stage 1 2.5" Lift Kits. The 2.5" lift gave us just enough clearance for our 35" Mickey Thompson off-road tires which we mounted on to a set of and an aggressive set of 20x12 Fuel Maverick Wheels. With their -44mm offset, black milled finish and aggressive styling, the Mavericks really helped pull together the rugged look we wanted for our Super Duty.

Further on in our 2014 F250 build we installed an ICON 7" Stage 2 Lift Kit and jumped up to massive 38" Nitto Trail Grapplers to transform our F250 into an absolute monster. Check out the photo below to see for yourself!
