N-Fab Wheel-to-Wheel Nerf Bar Side Steps installed on our 2015 F150 5.0L!
Getting in and out of a lifted 2015-2020 F150 with a big wheel and tire combination isn't exactly easy, and we took our 2015 F150 5.0L Desert Runner up to 4" of lift on almost 35" tires, we needed a fix that also gave our purpose-built off-road truck some extra love handle protection. That's where N-Fab's Wheel-to-Wheel Nerf Bar Side Steps came into play. These steps feature a rugged tubular steel design that can handle aggressive applications, and have N-Fab's patented dropped step design that make it much easier to get both in and out of our truck's cab, even at its tall ride height. We plan on going extremely big with the lift on our 2015 F150 3.5L EcoBoost Project Truck, and that means we'll need some sort of step to actually get in and out of the thing. One of the biggest problems with Ford's F150s in the post step-side era is bed access, especially when it comes to getting to tools and other gear toward the front of the bed. Given that our very own 2015 F150 XLT Project Truck was bound to do work both on and off the road, we wanted an easy way to reach the gear in its bed without doing a full set of steps. AMP's BedStep2 came to our rescue. The BedStep2 bolts right on to your truck in front of the rear wheel on either bedside and folds up and away when you're not using it. Even with backup sensors, rear cameras, and everything else, it's still painfully easy to bump into something and but a big, fat dent right into your rear bumper. The WeatherTech Bump Step can help. This step can handle small bumps that would usually dent your bumper and easily installs into your F150's 2" hitch receiver and even serves as a secondary step for getting into your F150's bed. We even threw it on our 2015 F150 2.7L EcoBoost Project Truck. Not that we need it, since we don't run into things...usually.
