Without a doubt, the 2.7L EcoBoost F150s are very capable trucks. They produce s surprising amount of low-end torque in a package that gets some of the best fuel economy on the market for full-size trucks. Still, they have a lot of the same problems as other bone-stock F150 builds, and a few 2.7L EcoBoost upgrades are always on the table in order to get the most out of your build. That being said, there are a whole bunch of Ford 2.7L EcoBoost upgrades and parts out there for the F150s, and it can be extremely difficult to know where to start. The good news is that we here at Stage 3 have years of experience with F150 2.7L EcoBoost trucks, and we've used and abused a lot of our parts and accessories both on and off road on our very own fleet of F150 Project Trucks, giving us first-hand experience on where to start and what these 2.7L EcoBoost upgrades do out in the real world.

2018-2020 F150 2.7L EcoBoost Leveling Kits

By far the most popular upgrades for the 2.7L EcoBoost F150s are leveling kits. F150 leveling kits are suspension upgrades that give your F150 a slight increase in front ride height so that your truck gets reduced rake for less of stinkbug look, while at the same time giving you clearance for mounting up larger tires. There are a whole bunch of F150 leveling kit options available, and there's bound to be one that fits in perfectly with your F150's budget or application goals. For a budget-friendly option, Spacer Leveling Kits save you some cash while still providing a bump in front ride height by installing on top of your F150's factory coilover assemblies. F150 leveled struts are a great balance or performance and ride quality while still adding some front ride height to your 2018-2020 F150 build. 2018-2020 F150 2.7L EcoBoost Wheels

One of the most effective ways to give your 2018-2020 F150 2.7L EcoBoost an entirely new look is with a new set of wheels. Aftermarket F150 wheels are an excellent way to change up the exterior appearance of your 2018-2020 F150 in almost no time at all. We have a massive selection of wheels that come in vast array of designs, styles, finishes, offsets, and backspacing so that you can get the perfect look for your specific F150 build. Choosing wheels, probably more than anything, is almost a pure aesthetic choice, but there are some things you should keep in mind when shopping around for wheels. In general, smaller wheels will get more room for tire sidewall, while larger wheels have a much more eye-catching look and are often available in more extreme offsets for a more unique appearance. For instance, 17" F150 wheels give you a lot of room for tires with big sidewalls, which can help you get a smooth ride and more grip when you're off road. However, 20" wheels have a great look that is sure to catch attention both on and off the beaten path. 2018-2020 F150 2.7L EcoBoost Lift Kits

Even though their motors are small, the 2018-2020 F150 2.7L EcoBoost can still get a big, bad look and clearance for extra-large tires with a tall lift kit. F150 lift kits add a bunch of ride height to both the front and rear of your 2018-2020 F150 build which gets your truck jacked high in the air while also providing you room for big tires to get a ton of ground clearance. While complete lift kits are an awesome upgrade, they do have much more extensive installs than more basic leveling kits, and require cutting, trimming, and drilling of your truck's subframe, making them a pretty permanent upgrade. That being said, if you're looking to fit on big tires for either an aggressive look or more ground clearance, then a lift kit may be worth the effort. A typical F150 4" lift kit will let you clear 35x12.50" tires with most wheel options, while an F150 6" lift kit will let you more easily clear 35" tires, though fitting 37" tires is possible with the right combination of wheel offset, high-clearance bumper, and/or trimming.
