2018 F150

Great product that is very well designed. The install took just over 1 hr but honest was a pain in the behind as you have to disassemble most of the front of the truck to get access to the back of the grill. (at least in the 2018 model). Since I had to do all that work I decided to swap out the Ford Emblems at the same time. I have the LED lighting so you do have to splice into 1 wire (Blue with Gray stripe) but the provided tap made that an easy step. The manufacture has some really helpful videos for each install. They helped save a ton of time. Especially in how to reattached the shutter back to the grill. If I did not watch the video this would have added some serious time to figure out. Overall very happy!

the install took about an hour, the only issue i ran into was the wiring diagram provided was incorrect after i tapped it according to the instructions and picture it did not light up. make sure you test which slot in the LED plug before you tap onto it. i almost damaged the truck's wiring harness. otherwise it looks great.

I love this light. Gives the truck a great bit of zizzle and detail w/o the gaudy going on. Fit was great. A piece of advice...watch all the Youtube videos you can find, not just from the manufacturer. I learned a few tricks from multiple videos thay helped. Clean little addition.

2018 F150 with LED headlights

Great fitting product. It really looks nice in the honeycomb grill. It took some work, but I was able to install it without removing the grill from the front of the truck. One word of advice - The only video I could find for the install with factory LED headlights said that just closing the wire tap around the wire was enough. Mine wouldn't light up until I gave the connector a little squeeze with a pair of Channellocks.

2020 F-150 XLT w/halogen

Love the lights. The included instructions were meh but a quick google search of videos allowed for a smooth process. Due to the honeycomb grille the whole front had to be removed/but well worth it. Highly recommend. The plug and play (due to halogen) was a nice touch. Basic tools/sockets needed.

Very nice setup and looks great at night! Plug in harness is cool, no splicing... however I did add a Deutsch connector at the edge of the grille to allow easier grille removal if needed.

2018 Ford F150 Eco-boost Lariat

Love this product. Looked at a bunch of different options online and was happy I went with this one. The four LED’s look great in the day and at night, and we’re relatively easy to install. I have 0 knowledge about cars, but I am good at finding YouTube videos and digging through forums, which leads me to my next point. The video provided from customautoWorksstore is not the best. You can find it on YouTube for yourself prior to watching and see what I’m talking about. I found AmericanTrucks tutorial to be much more helpful. Both videos together will 100% give you the knowledge to take on this install if you are second guessing yourself. In the photo I attached with the grille off, I have the drive side headlight circled. In the customautoworks video, he recommends taking out the turbo box (1 bolt, 4 rubber grommet, and 1 gasket to remove, not bad) to get access to the plug and play for the lights, but I was able to get access to it no problem from the front headlight behind the plastic trim.. it’s not a a lot of space to work with, but it’s manageable. The AmericanTruck video I referenced above does an okay ish job at showing this. The Y adapter snaps right into place (make sure it clicks!!!) and the lights show anytime you turn your lights on (drl&night). Make sure you keep track of all your pins and bolts!! 10/10 on this product, customautoworksstore made an awesome product here that makes your truck stand out!!

Yep. These grille lights will work with aftermarket headlights. The choice between LED and Halogen factory headlights is based on your truck's factory body harness, not necessarily the actual headlights.

Assuming your XLT has base halogen headlights, you should choose the "halogen" option, since the wiring for the grille lights is dependent on the factory body harness, not the headlight itself.

Your choice depends on what factory headlights you have, because the wiring will be different based on the stock body harness.

That depends on whether your truck has OEM LED headlights or OEM halogen headlights. Most Lariat Special Edition trucks came with LEDs, so you'll likely have to tap your parking light wiring.

You would still choose the "halogen" option, since the wiring for the grille light kit is dependent on the wiring for the factory body harness and not what actual headlight you have in your truck.

In what light modes do the lights turn on, in essence, if I run the lights in auto mode all the time, will they turn on with the DRLs? or do I have to manually switch the parking lights on for them to be on?

These grille lights tie into your F150's parking lights, so they'll only come on when your parking lights are active. If you run your headlights on "Auto" the grille lights will only come on with your truck's low beams or when your parking lights normally operate. To get them to run all the time, your headlight switch would need to be set to the parking lights setting, or you would need a custom wiring solution.

You best bet would just use the forwarder's address as the shipping address you give us when you place your order, then give your representative at the forwarder your order number and tracking information when it becomes available.
