2019 F-150 Lariat

The is my second time buying these lights. I first purchased them on an XLT which was easy because its plug n play. However, with my Lariat it was a little more difficult because of the LED headlights. Everything needed is included in the packaging. You have to splice into the BLUE WIRE with the GREY STRIPE from the driver side headlight plug. There is a grey wire with blue stripe right next to it so make sure you pick the right one. Once you attach the clamp piece to the wire, apply decent pressure maybe even with pliers. There is a few good spots to apply the ground wire as well so that shouldn’t be a problem. Once you plug the headlight plug back in and the lights work, I recommend using electrical tape on the clamp for integrity. My only gripe was choosing the wrong wire at first. Other than that, easy install and awesome look! Also, you have to remove the air intake filter box to access the headlight plug. Its a size 13 bolt with a ratchet.

2019 F150 SCREW Lariat

I was nervous about the extra bars in the lariat grill, but the look came out perfect. Installation was easy even with the LED lighting. I highly recommend removing some of the wrap on the light harness to make the connection easier.

My install was a bit different than the video on the website. The instructions included were helpful but could have been more clear. However I did install it in about 1 1/2 hours (partly because I am a novice) and it looks great. I'm very happy with the outcome. The product is good quality.

These lights install pretty easily. If you don't know what you are doing plan an hour or a little more. If you have done it before it can be done in a half hour. The hardest part is finding the side marker connection. The plug is to the left of the tan turn signal bulb connection (as looking into the engine from the front of the truck). It is very difficult to see, you are better off feeling for it. I had to call Randy, the owner who makes them, to find out what the right plug was. Exceptional service from him. I would highly recommend these. They are bright and look great, especially at night.

I love this thing, sure it doesn't provide any extra light or provide any extra purpose, but man it puts a smile on my face everytime I lock or unlock the truck and it lights up. I have the standard halogen headlights so I was able to use the adapter. It did take some extra effort to make the adapter snap into place, but after some pressure it did work. I'm happy with the install and overall results and would purchase again.

Simple install. Looks awesome! 30 min tops. I did have the removal tool for the plastic pins that hold on the panel. It’s $10 on amazon. **GOOACC 3 Pcs Clip Pliers Set & Fastener Remover - Auto Upholstery Combo Repair Kit with Storage Bag for Car Door Panel Dashboard**. That’s the exact tool I bought on amazon. It was cheap and worked great!

Just what I was looking for. I didn't want the fake me out raptor grille that you see on F150's they look terrible let's be real. I wanted to modify the truck in a way that looked factory but gave the front end some more character. This fit the bill and it was simple to install there's even a video via stage3motorsports. The product is high quality and nothing less than I would expect from a company like stage3. If you are on the fence with this product or anything stage3 don't be!

Love the way it looks. Installation was a little tricky. Lucky for me the front grill had a large opening that I didn't even consider that helped a lot. I only wish the mounting screws had metal washers instead of plastic. I used longer screws and installed all the way thru from the top with SS washers and then painted them black

Product arrives packaged well. Includes harness adapter and simple instructions. Light bar looks and feels to be well made. Installation took about 30 minutes. The hardest part is getting the wiring ran over to the drivers headlight. Ford has so much packed in there. I did find a small hole in the radiator support frame that the harness fit through perfect. I took the drivers side front wheel and wheel well off. You wouldn’t have to, but it definitely made it easier. Installed the T and reconnected everything. Looks amazing. Definitely recommend.

Love the look. When I initially got it, they didn’t work. I call custom auto works at 5p during the week and they answered! Explained it wasn’t working and they gave me tips to ensure everything was connected, which it was as I followed their video. They said it could be the adapter as they outsource that and don’t test the connector but they test their lights before they ship them out. They said they would ship me a new adapter and light set, by chance it’s the lights. Had to wait a couple days due to it being Xmas weekend. Once I received the new set, all I had to do was replace the new connector as I left the lights in. Sure enough, it was the connector. Lights are working like a charm. It has been a week but I’m very happy with them. My truck looks good. Great customer service.

Good customer service, poor quality control. The first light bar I received arrived with a single dead LED and mis-matched mounting screws. After contacting Stage 3, I received a replacement within a week. Although install is fairly simple and straight forward, the provided instructions are poorly written with blurry images printed on crumpled office paper. This does not affect the install, but adds to the feeling that the light bar may not be manufactured with as high of quality as advertised for the price. All in all, the new bar has worked flawlessly for the first few weeks. Time will tell how well the wiring connections are protected against the elements. If this one dies, I will most likely seek an alternative for better quality.

Install was relatively easy but access to the running lights is almost impossible. Had to take entire grill assy out to get to the running light and it still was almost impossible to get a hand in to turn the bulb assy. I was informed to go through the wheel well and pull the liner back to get at the backside of the light but that didn’t work at all. Once the lights were in they look awesome.

Lights are solid construction and fit nice and snug. They look really good though. I'd advise providing some visual instructions on tapping the headlights for stock LED though. They are only plug and play for halogens and there isn't anything visual for that type of install yet so it took a bit of tinkering to actually get a solid connection using that T-tap connector

I purchased these directly from the vendor - a NY state custom operation I believe. He accidentally sent me the amber at first but I was able to make an easy exchange for the white I ordered. These lights are superb for the price with great design and build quality. Simple and effective, I am always surprised I don't see more on the road (however I am starting to see more 3-led types on other vehicles as well). Regardless, the LED output is crisp and bright. The amber may be more popular but the white matches a set of led headlights perfectly. Thanks to the folks who are able to develop these cool parts for our trucks and bring them to market.

Nice looking lights, Straightforward to install. My lights did not come aimed correctly though. my right side is turned clockwise so the cutoff line looks terrible. I have taken apart the front end of my truck 3 times to correct it yet I cannot. Due to this I am contemplating going back to my stock lights. Taking off 1 star for the lights being extremely crooked and 1 star because the LED strip during the day is not bright enough to be seen during the day, even with the provided power hookup to the battery installed.

2018 F150 XLT

Very happy with this light kit, it looks great and is made in the USA. It took me about an hour to install. The hardest part was reaching the factory light harness, which I had to take the air intake assembly out to get my arm in the tight space to reach it. Definitely recommend and Stage 3 has a great price On it.

2018 Ford F-150 XLT

This product took me about an hour to install. It was not difficult at all to do. What took the most time was finding the light switch. It is tucked away pretty good. I would advise getting a step stool so you can get in there easily. It does look great and I’m very happy with the turn out thus far.

2019 F150 STX

These look so good on my truck. The install was easy, even though I hate those screw tabs in front of the tires! Def worth adding to your truck to give the front end a little more customization.

The install is simple and just takes some time because of the difficulty unplugging light harness that is in a spot not viewable to the eye. Fit is perfect and the look is factory.

2019 F150 XLT

Easy install, works as described. I would recommend using FORScan to make your parking lights run as your DRLs so you don't have to turn them on every time. Hooking up the electrical part for was easier if you stand on the fender side with a step stool and lean over the engine bay. From there, you can almost see where you have to plug it back in. Otherwise, you are just fishing for it which can be aggravating. They look great!

2020 F-150 XLT Sport

Awesome looking LED lights! Installation was fairly easy.. Though it must have taken me 30 minutes to find the headlight wiring. I kept aiming towards the parking/running lights and was scratching my head trying to make the harnesses work.. eventually, I reached my arm deep down and felt around and found the other headlamp harness, which plugged right in. I wish the directions differentiated the parking & headlamp harnesses and where each can be found.. But I guess I got it done.

2019 F150 XLT Supercrew

Nice product, Looks great on my truck and it was easy to install. It definitely improved the looks of the front of my truck. I would highly recommend this to any F150 owner. A couple guys I work with have F150’s and they said they were to purchase as well! For $80.00 you can’t go wrong with this.

I bought this kit for my 2018 F150 XL with the standard grille and I couldn't be more pleased. I like them so much, I would like to put a second kit directly below the first kit on the bottom of my main grille below the ford badge. Wondering if anyone has done that before and if so, what did they mount the bracket to?

You would not. It's based on the stock wiring, not necessary the bulbs you have. If your truck came with halogen bulbs from the factory, you would need the halogen option.

These lights tend to last beyond their 5-year warranty mark regularly. The folks that tend to have the most problems are those whose trucks live outside year-round in extremely climates. The grille light kit comes backed by a 5-year limited warranty.

This kit ties into the parking light circuit. To kick them on, you would either need to have your headlight switch set to either the parking lights or the low beams. They do not function as true DRLs.

The option for this grille kit is based on the stock headlight harness of your truck, which does not change when you do a headlight swap. So if you have an XLT with halogen headlights from the factory, you would select the "Halogen Headlights" option.

Unfortunately, we don't have a good photo, since the connector's tough to photograph with the headlight installed on the truck. However, the connector is on the far outboard side of the headlight.

I already ordered this light and plan to order another rough country grill light for 18-20 F150 XLT and Larriat style grill, the light goes between the centerpiece. I’m just wondering if they can work together or can I have multiple lights connect to my fuse box in general.

This kit taps into your parking light harness, so wiring really isn't an issue. Your bigger problem is that depending on what grille-mount light bar kit you get, it may interfere with the Raptor-Style light's bracket or its mounting points. Your best bet would be to give us a call at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about what Rough Country kit you're looking at.

I purchased this item for my 2018 XLT with halogen lights. I traded that truck for a 2019 Lariat with the HID lights with the white LED daytime running lights. Do you have a link for the headlight plug so I can tap into it and install this on my Lariat?

The LED wiring harness is not available as a separate part number. You'll likely need to modify your current harness and just tap it into the parking light wiring using traditional quick taps.

We do not currently have a wiring diagram available. On the halogen variants with a plug-and-play connector, the lights simply plug into the driver's side parking light and T-off to allow the connection of the body harness and stock bulb. On the LED version, there are just quick-taps for splicing into the parking light body harness.

How do I go about connecting these with the Alpha Rex headlights? It looked like alpha Rex has the spare male connection to connect to these raptor lights but when I plugged them in, I couldn’t get the raptor lights to come on.

You could, but the step lights would then only turn on with your truck's parking lights, which may not be ideal depending on what you're trying to do.

The kit ties into your truck's parking light wiring and will only come on when your parking lights are active. It should light up when you unlock your truck, shut one of the doors, when your headlight switch is set to the parking lights, or when your headlights are actually on. To get them to run during the day, you'll need to keep your headlight switch manually set to the parking lights.

If your headlights look like the ones in this photo, then your truck has halogen lights. If you have an amber outline and your headlights have two small squares where light emits from, you have LED headlights.

We have not tried it ourselves, and we can't guarantee that all the lights will be visible on a 2016 F150. This kit was only designed to bolt onto the 2018 F150s, so you may need to make modifications to the bracket in order to get it to work on your truck.

This kit works on F150s with both Halogen and LED headlights. However, the kit is only plug-and-ply on F150s with halogen headlights. On F150s with factory LED headlights, splicing is required.

Custom Auto Works includes the harness for F150s with Halogen or LED lights. If Halogen, it is simply Plug-n-Play. If LED, you have to splice into a wire. CAW includes detailed instructions for either application.
