2021 F150 Powerboost
I have had these on a 2015 F150 before this truck. I loved them then, and I still do. I didn't want to mess with the factory spring rates, as the Powerboost is heavier than the other variants, and it rides greats with just switching the shocks and struts. Definitely would recommend. Assertive ride, but comfortable. They do have a break in period though, so if they're a little too firm for your liking right off that bat, wait a couple of thousand miles.

After reading many reviews covering many types of budget leveling kits I decided to go with the Bilstein 5100 setup for a 2.5 inch level. Unfortunately this still leaves the truck with 1.5 inches of rake. I'm not sure if this is due to the factory lift blocks, or a combination of factory settings on the FX4 models. Just be aware that you will need a 3 inch kit to get a 100% true level on a FX4 with a max tow package. My gut told me to go this route and I wish I would have. I'm still staring at a truck with rake. Even after consulting with multiple shops and sources online measuring myself, and having a legitimate shop measure, the truck didn't' come out the way I wanted it too. Sorta bummed. I shouldn't need to remove the factory blocks to get it the look level, I would have rather been a touch nose high to be honest. Otherwise, the ride is much improved and definitely firmer compared to the squishy factory feel.

2021 F150 Powerboost Lariat
My Ford dealer recommended this kit. I’m very happy with it. My dealer installed and everything went great. I chose to have dealer install because of location of the Powerboost system and cables. Didn’t trust myself or even a private shop around it. I raised front end 2” but could have maybe done 2 1/2” as somehow the rear is up 1” also. I really like the way the truck rides now. Ride is firm but not too harsh. Less body sway. Enhanced towing. Everything just feels tighter. As for those that have heard that you can’t level a Powerboost because it affects when electric drive kicks in there is no need to worry. I have not experienced any difference. Is still get same mpg around town and hybrid system is not affected. No issues with dynamic headlights or adaptive cruise control sensors. This is a quality kit. Very happy

Perfect. I started with front Supreme 2.5in leveling spacer front and back. Then replace front spacers with 5100s reusing my factory springs. Also 5100s in the rear. WOW! What a difference!

Replaced all 4 wheels with this kit. Truck rides a lot better than factory and feels more responsive. Still about 1" rake with the highest setting but I am okay with that. Would recommend this set up again.

Customer Question For a 2021+ F150 4WD RCSB ('25 or '26 still waiting on ordered truck to arrive) with rear blocks removed, would it be better to use 2WD rear shocks? Looking to use 285/70R17 tires on 17x8 ET 30 wheels. I want about a inch of rake so that I can still haul a trailer. What clip ring groove should be used?

Asked by: Kenny - 9/30/2025
Customer Answer If you are not going to run the factory rear block, than it would be recommend length wise to run the 2wd rear shocks. The only difference height wise between 2wd and 4wd is the rear block, so removing it would essentially make your truck 2wd height in the rear. As far as clip height, that really depends on how your truck is sitting. We would recommend taking out the rear block, and than letting the truck down and suspension settle. Than take a measurement from the center of the wheel to the fender on both front and rear and see what your differences are. Then you can make a decision on which height notch you want to use to get the desired difference.

Customer Question The bilatein 2.5 shock kit. Will it really lift a 2022 f150 2.5 inches more. It already looks lifted just with stock suspension. And it has 20 inch wheels. Will these really lift it another 2.5 inches? And if I added the add a leafs on the back. Would I still need blocks. If so what kind.

Asked by: JT - 1/15/2025
Customer Answer At the highest notch setting, these will lift stock 2022 F150 4wd 2.5".

Customer Question Will this fit my 2021 ford f150 XLT 5.0 RWD with 4x4?

Asked by: Alex P - 11/5/2024
Customer Answer This kit consists of the Bilstein 4wd part numbers, and would not be recommended to run on a 2wd truck. Give our sales team a call and they can help put a package together with the correct part numbers. 623.434.5277 option 1 gets you right to that team.

Customer Question Hello, I have a 2021 F150 XLT with the 2.7Ecoboost motor what setting should I set these at to be completely level? I want to do the 2.5” but will it have rear sag then? And if I do set them at 2.5” will that effect wear on any other components?

Asked by: Marcus - 4/30/2024
Customer Answer There is not standard setting, and it's best to take measurements so you know how much rake you are working with. Measure from the center of the wheel to the fender on both front and rear when on level ground and find out what your differences are. Than you can decide which height option best suites your needs.

Customer Question Ford f150 2022 powerboost, I have 2” drop shackles on the rear, will these shocks work ok? My truck is a only going on the street, are these a good street truck option?

Asked by: Blktruck - 11/6/2023
Customer Answer It really depends on your current setup as far as if you have a heavy tow package etc. They are rated short enough to use on the 2wd trucks which have no rear block from factory so you are most likely ok, but without knowing the full details of your trucks factory setup it's hard to guarantee fitment. Give us a call at 623.434.5277 and we can discuss in more detail.

Customer Question Does the lift vary depending on which engine and packages the stock truck has? i.e. I imagine a 2.7 Eco is lighter than the V8, etc. And FX4 vs non FX4, tow pkg's will also change the stock front end weight. no? My truck is a 2022 Lariat, 2.7 Eco with FX4 and Trailer Tow Package (Not "Max" Trailer Tow pkg), 5.5' bed, running on stock 275/60 R20's . You think I will get the true front end lift as stated on the Bilstein Spec sheet? (+2.5" on the top setting, +2.0" the second one down, etc). I plan on ordering this or the Eibach's as soon as they are back in stock. I want to get this right the first time.

Asked by: Mike M - 9/13/2023
Customer Answer With this shock reusing your factory spring, you should not see much of a variation in height with different engine options. If you go with a leveling setup that replaces the spring, than there is where you could see slight differences in height, but anything that reuses the factory spring will be pretty closed to advertised.

Customer Question I have a 2” ready lift spacer on the front. I bought a bumper replacement that brought the front down 1/2” or so. Can I install the 5100 at the .5” setting, paired with the 2” ready lift?

Asked by: John - 6/28/2023
Customer Answer According to Bilstein it would not be recommended as it can cause too much stress to the lower portion of the shock, and if a failure were to happen due to it they would not cover the shock. In theory that could work, but it's not something we have tried ourselves.

Customer Question Will this fit a 2022 F150 RWD? If so, do you know what position (clip level) I would need to set it in to get 2.5”?

Asked by: Andrew Mac - 6/19/2023
Customer Answer This kit is designed for a 4wd F150 so they will be much longer than what comes on a 2wd truck. They may be able to bolt up, but we could not guarantee you would not run into any clearance issues trying to use them on a 2wd truck.

Customer Question Are their any compatibility issues with the powerboost system on a 21 f150 fx4?

Asked by: Jeff - 3/16/2023
Customer Answer The shocks and strut assemblies do not cause issues with the PowerBoost hybrid system. The only potential problem that you'll run into is that since the PowerBoost trucks have a higher curb weight, you'll see slightly less maximum ride height than what the struts are rated for on the standard gasoline-only F150s.

Customer Question I am interested in adding this kit to my 2021 F150 and setting at highest the highest 2.5 adjustment. Do I or should I also install camber/caster bolt kit? Ready to order, thanks.

Asked by: Jeff D - 10/8/2022
Customer Answer In general, caster/camber bolts or kits are generally not required for an alignment after the installation of this kit. That being said, if your truck's factory alignment is already borderline, then you may need caster/camber hardware.

Customer Question What is the largest tire you can fit on the truck when raised at max of 2.5 in? When using factory 20 in wheels on 2021 f150

Asked by: Jackson Weston - 6/8/2022
Customer Answer Unfortunately, we have not done comprehensive tire fitment testing on the 2021-2021 F150s as of yet. In general, we usually recommend a 33x11.50" tire or close metric equivalent if you want to avoid all chances of trimming and rubbing. That being said, the 2021-2022 F150s do have better wheel well clearance, and using the stock wheels will let you go a bit taller. You can likely fit on a 295/60R20 pretty easily, and possibly up to a 285/65R20, though I can't strictly guarantee that.

Customer Question For a 2021 F-150 XL: How does the stiffness of this suspension kit compare to the stiffness of the set from the FX4 package?

Asked by: Jay - 5/19/2022
Customer Answer The Bilstein 5100s tend to ride a little firmer than stock, but you do get more control and less body roll in exchange, granted, if you do set the Bilsteins at a lower ride height than their maximum they do tend to ride fairly soft.

Customer Question Is there a leveling kit that works with the 2022 Tremor?

Asked by: Drew Ellis - 1/21/2022
Customer Answer There are leveling kits and systems that work with 2021 Tremors. However, this particular kit is not one of them and would be a downgrade over the factory Fox shocks that are already on your truck. Your best bet would to call us directly at 623-434-5277 or email us at [email protected] so we can get more specific about what you're looking for.

Customer Question Will these rear shocks work with the F150 Tremor since it is approximately 1" taller than a normal 4x4 F-150? Would like to use a spacer kit and these front struts to achieve height in the front and to have struts that aren't maxed out, just don't know if the rear shocks will work.

Asked by: Dakota - 12/16/2021
Customer Answer This kit won't work on a Tremor. In fact, the shocks would likely be a downgrade over the factory Fox dampers.
