Can Add up to 2.5" of Front Leveling to your Truck

Leveling out your 2009 to 2013 RWD F150 is practically a rite of passage for new truck owners, and while a typical leveling spacer is a good option, those pucks won't be adding any suspension performance. When you want something that make your truck actually perform as it should both on the road and off it, you'll need this pair of Bilstein 5100 Series adjustable shocks. The 5100s have a slotted area on their bodies and comes with an adjustable spring seat collar that can be set from 0" to 2.5" of front ride height height without any hassles. On top of their leveling and lifting abilities, the 5100s give your truck better suspension performance by improving rebound, response, and articulation all while keeping your truck's street and highway ride crisp and smooth.

High-Quality Piston and Valving for Improved Performance

Just like all of Bilstein's high-quality suspension components, the 5100 series front shocks are built from the ground up for performance, longevity and reliability. The shocks are each built around a 46mm digressive piston used with a nitrogen gas-charged monotube design. The valving has a self-adjusting, deflective disc design that makes these shocks effective for a variety of different applications. The shock body is made out of zinc-plated steel with a unique Triple-C coating. The Bilstein 5100 series shocks have 5" of travel depending on their ride height settings, giving them plenty of articulation ability for many applications. The shocks install right into place of your factory shocks and reuse your stock shock mount and spring assembly.

Only have about 1000 miles on them right now, but so far they work like they should. Ride is definitely stiffer, but the truck seems to handle and steer much better. Far less roll is noticed now when cornering. They work beautifully on the highway controlling the bumps felt from the rise and fall of the roadway. Sharp bumps (potholes) on the other hand are very jarring as opposed to the stock shocks now. This really seems to be the only negative so far. If you've ever ridden in a super duty over rough roads you'll know what I mean. I put them on the second highest setting with 275/70/18 bfgs, and ended up having to lift the rear about 1.25 to level the stance. The middle setting would probably be the best if you don't want to touch the rear suspension, and might soften the ride due to less preload on the coils. Overall I'm pretty happy with them, perfect amount of lift without having to totally tear the front end apart like the higher lifts. Sits about the same height as a stock 4x4 now which was what I was hoping for.

2007 Ford F150 2wd 3 inch lift

i have these set at 1.5 inch with a set of Tuff country longer upper control arms with regular ball joints i bought from suppennsion connect its very smooth firm ride i love it 275 70 18 bfg ko2 tires i can drive agian without jarring and bounceing

Hey I’m wanting to simply add more clearance to my F150. It’s a 2011 2wd and I was thinking of getting these and setting them to the max of 2.5”. That being said what size rear block should I get to maintain the factory rake. Also, does having these set to the highest setting create any kind of rubbing or bad angles on the front end that will need to be addressed.

Your rear block choice is going to depend on just how much rake you want. If you're shooting for a stock stance, then you'll likely need at least a 1.5" rear block. Any time you level your truck beyond stock ride height, you change your suspension geometry. In general, you should not experience issues if you're below 3" of leveling, though you may want to consider a UCA if you're going off-road at all.

I have a 2013 F150 4WD I ALREADY HAVE 2.5" Blocks on front but my shocks are bad on front so I would like to take off my blocks and install these . Now is this a truly a 2.5" lift ?(2 1/2")

These Bilstein strut assemblies provide 2.5" of leveling on an RWD/2WD truck. They will not provide that much leveling on a 4WD F150, due to the fact that the 4WD F150s sit taller from the factory than RWD F150s. If you're willing to keep the 2.5" strut spacer that you already have, you could just use the 4WD version of the 5100s at a 0" ride height and solely use the spacer for ride height gains.
