Can Add up to 2.25" of Front Leveling to your Truck

Leveling out your 2009 to 2013 4WD F150 is practically a rite of passage for new truck owners, and while a typical leveling spacer is a good option, those pucks won't be adding any suspension performance. When you want something that make your truck actually perform as it should both on the road and off it, you'll need this pair of Bilstein 5100 Series adjustable shocks. The 5100s have a slotted area on their bodies and comes with an adjustable spring seat collar that can be set from 0" to 2.25" of front ride height height without any hassles. On top of their leveling and lifting abilities, the 5100s give your truck better suspension performance by improving rebound, response, and articulation all while keeping your truck's street and highway ride crisp and smooth.

High-Quality Piston and Valving for Improved Performance

Just like all of Bilstein's high-quality suspension components, the 5100 series front shocks are built from the ground up for performance, longevity and reliability. The shocks are each built around a 46mm digressive piston used with a nitrogen gas-charged monotube design. The valving has a self-adjusting, deflective disc design that makes these shocks effective for a variety of different applications. The shock body is made out of zinc-plated steel with a unique Triple-C coating. The Bilstein 5100 series shocks have 5" of travel depending on their ride height settings, giving them plenty of articulation ability for many applications. The shocks install right into place of your factory shocks and reuse your stock shock mount and spring assembly.

First, Stage 3 Motorsports equals lowest price, fast shipping, and excellent service! Second, Bilstein adjustable shocks out of the box seemed very well made and durable. I had a local shop install them due to the need for a machine to compress the springs for install. I opted for the full 2.25" height adjustment and it pretty much perfectly leveled out my truck. So far with the addition of the 33" MT 10ply tires, I love the way the trucks rides now! It feels more planted with less body roll. Yes, it is a little bit of a stiffer ride, but I do not mind that. Overall, great product and I will definitely be buying from Stage 3 in the future!

I originally installed these at the highest setting (2.25") and was very displeased with the ride quality. It was very bouncy and the suspension maxed out over every bump. I reduced it to 1.5" and was much happier. The ride was still firm, but almost no bounce. It is also extremely important to tighten the nut at the end of the gas shock until about 1" of threads stocks out beyond the nut. If you don't do this right the shocks do not work properly. I also recommend a professional install unless you have large metric sockets, 4 spring compressors, and a lot of patience. This is a moderately difficult job. Very happy now with the product.

Very pleased with the Bilstein 5100's. I installed at the 1.5" setting to my 6" Fabtech. The ride is a little rough due to the 6" strut spacer from the lift but that's expected. Still a very high quality strut.

Great product! It is a stiffer shock but I like the ride of the truck now - sporty and stable. Before there was too much body roll and it felt like a car. Now you definitely feel like you are driving a truck! I set mine on the 3rd setting, which left about a 1/2" rake to the rear. Great service, fast shipping. Thanks!

This shock is an improvement in ride quality over stock. I like the height adjustibility (i set to only 1 notch higher). HOWEVER,after hitting a pothole offroad my front right blew out. I ordered another and sent the 5100 strut in for warranty replacement. They, after I spent $31 shipping, denied the claim saying it overextended. The shocks are an improvement over stock but my goodness their warranty is a LIE and I CANNOT RECOMMEND. I only replaced with Bilstein because of good warranty and they certainly are not what I thought they would be. There are better shocks for just a bit more. There are much better warranties too. 'Warranty request # 3278493, RGA#60041695 has been completed. Warranty credit is denied. Shock has been pulled apart due to abuse, not a manufacture defect' Well I am sorry Bilstein that I had to keep driving on it for a couple weeks after it blew out on a pothole! I guess you know how to keep your costs down on warranties. signed - not a happy man who spent hard earned money...twice

I bought these to match the Bilstein 5100's I installed in the rear recently. I installed them using the stock height slot so I won't comment on the leveling aspect but I will say they are nice struts. I don't feel there is a drastic improvement compared to the stock struts unlike the rears which are night and day. If you are changing them yourself make sure you have a quality spring compressor that accepts the correct diameter coil. My gear wrench units where a little undersized but got the job done.

I installed these as a replacement shocks for my son's truck. They where replacements for his truck. When we got them of and set back up at the full 2.25 lift that the front shocks will let you have. The old ones were setup just like this. We found out that there is no front suspension. Everything goes through the front tires. The springs never work. Always the tires. Plus all the front ball joints are shot because of these shocks being set up like this for years. This truck only has 56K on it. These are the worse shocks you can sell to level a truck out with. Now he has to save up more money for more parts. Then he has to figure out down the road how he's going to replace these and keep his ride hight. These are junk!
