Improves Handling and Suspension Performance while Adding Ride Height

The Expeditions aren't exactly known for their handling performance either on or off the road, and if you're putting together a do-it-all 2014-2021 Expedition, you're going to want a suspension upgrade. The Bilstein 5100 Rear Strut Assemblies give your Expedition an all-around improvement in handling both on the street and out in the dirt. The 5100s feature a monotube internal design that's paired with application-specific valving that greatly reduces your Expedition's body roll and wallowy ride while still providing excellent ride quality. The Bilstein 5100s can even add up to 1.5" of ride height to your Expedition's rear end which allows you to clear larger wheels and tires to get you some more ground clearance.

High-Quality Piston and Valving for Improved Performance

Just like all of Bilstein's high-quality suspension components, the 5100 series rear shocks are built from the ground up for performance, longevity and reliability. The shocks are each built around a 46mm digressive piston used with a nitrogen gas-charged monotube design. The valving has a self-adjusting, deflective disc design that makes these shocks effective for a variety of different applications. The shock body is made out of zinc-plated steel with a unique Triple-C coating. The Bilstein 5100 series shocks have 5" of travel depending on their ride height settings, giving them plenty of articulation ability for many applications. The shocks install right into place of your factory shocks and reuse your stock shock mount and spring assembly.

Fitment: 2014-2021 Expedition 4WD

Not compatible with air suspension or electronic adjustable suspension: these strut assemblies are not compatible on Expeditions equipped with OEM air suspension systems or electronic adjustable suspensions.

Requires OEM Spring Perch: these strut assemblies require your OEM spring perch to be transferred over for installation. However, some Expeditions have their spring perches welded onto their factory shock assemblies and will require the purchase of separate spring perches for installation.
