The King 2.5" Front Coilover Conversion with Compressor Adjustment installed will help boost your vehicle's performance and durability. This pair of King OEM Performance Series Front Coilovers replace your truck's front shock absorber and help during bumpy or off-road adventures. King's Coilovers even feature a remote-mounted reservoir that's fitted with King's unique compression adjustment system which improves heat dissipation and cooling for greatly reduced fade under even the most intense suspension articulation while giving you the ability to dial in you Super Duty's ride for just about any application.

Specially Designed and Made for Off-Road Adventures

King's Coilovers are designed for a fairly simple conversion over to from your standard shock and spring setup and are to built to maximize the performance and articulation of your aggressive Super Duty for some serious off-road applications. The coilovers feature a heat-treated 6061 billet aluminum piston and a large-diameter shaft with a tensile strength of over 100,000in/lbs. The shock body is wrapped in a high-quality coilover spring and topped off with and adjustable collar that allows you to add up to 3" of ride height onto your Super Duty while getting nearly unmatched off-road suspension performance.

Professional Install Recommended: These coilovers will require some cutting of your truck's factory shock bucket for proper installation. Professional installation is recommended.

so i have a 04 f350 king ranch with 10 inches of lift which is all suspension. im looking into a coilover conversion based specifically for better ride comfort. So i guess im looking for insight on what would be the better option? coilover conversion? better steering stabilizers? ive got pro comp shocks with the reservoir on them in the front.

You likely won't need to anything as extreme as a coilover conversion, especially considering that it's extremely difficult to do on a 2004 Super Duty with front leafs. If you're solely looking for a ride quality improvement, then your best bet would be to just swap out the Pro Comp Shocks with something less worn/more tuned for ride quality like a set of Fox 2.0s. Your best bet would be to give us call directly at 623-434-5277 for possible shock options.

I am looking for the best ride quality for Country Roads full of potholes and wash board gravel roads. I do 90% of driving on terrible roads and need something to smoothen out the ride. I don’t do much off-roading other than that. Is this a good option or is there something better for a 2.5” ?

If you're not off-roading much and your off-roading isn't hyper-aggressive, then a coilover conversion is probably a little overkill, especially considering how much cutting and drilling you need to do to get them installed. Your better bet would be to probably run a front spring leveling kit and then pairing that with decent 2.5 shocks on the front and rear for essentially the same price as doing this coilover kit alone. Spring and shock availability will depend on your model year, but King does make more standard Front 2.5 Shocks and Rear 2.5 Shocks.

Are these a better alternative than just a leveling kit?

It really depends on what you're doing with your truck. If you're ripping around off-road at 50mph or faster and the impact absorption and fade resistance justifies the price of the kit and its install, then sure. If you're not doing that, then a more bang-for-your-buck system may be a better option. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific about what you're doing with your truck.

when getting these coil overs, is there anything else that needs to be installed with it for example track bar relocation bracket or anything the comes with a normal 2.5” leveling kit?

If you're concerned about your front axle placement after the leveling, then yes. But from a purely technical/functional level, you would not need additional hardware.

Do these shocks come preset at 2.5" of level?

That depends on your truck's model year. In general, on the older steel body trucks, you'd be closer to 2". On the newer aluminum body trucks, you'd be closer to 2.5" (assuming no plow package).
