I have installed the airshocks, the ride unloaded (9psi) is smoother than stock, takes the jolt out of the leaf springs . Loaded it is a world of difference, much more stable, truck feels unloaded and nimble . The kit fits even with the ford rear fender liners installed, no cutting or drilling needed. great kit, thanks

Five star review pretty much says it all with these airbags. I researched Air Spring and Firestone air bags for hours only to learn that they're basically the same, aside from mounting location. I elected to use the Firestone bags 1. because I had 3 inch rear blocks with a jounce stop intruding into the space where the Air Spring brand mounts on the axle, and 2. because these sit further outside and, to me, it would seem to equal more stability when towing than the inner mount location (not a scientific finding...). I paired this system with the Load Controller II single path on-board compressor kit by Air Spring. All the research about on board compressors told me I should just make the investment now, or regret not having it at a later time when purchased. In the end, the Firestone system installed quite easily and flawlessly in my garage with basic tools and knowledge (**Stage Three Motorsports install videos are very helpful and accurately portrayed). I mounted the Load Controller compressor in front of the driver's rear wheel well in the bed. This was to keep the dust and dirt out of the system for longevity. The airbags worked exactly as prescribed - they took the sag out of the pickup with my 8000# or more 36' travel trailer hooked up. They also really improved the stability of the combination of the truck/TT in general, and I can tell the bags are really working when hitting the really large bumps on the highway. I have absolutely no worries about towing now and I'm very glad I purchased these early on. A side note with my airbags: they raised the back of my pickup a little more than I wanted with the 3 rear block and I ended up switching my blocks back to the factory set. Afterword, the rear lowered and is still about 3/4 inch above the fronts (with the Fox 2.0 coilover set also bought from Stage Three). All in all, I think my setup is perfect.

Awesome kit! Install took about 3 hrs and would be easy for anyone to do. Very happy with the overall performance of the kit when pulling my car trailer and pleased with the ride quality during daily driving now. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to put this kit on my truck and I will never own another truck without one! Makes towing so much better! Thanks Stage 3 for the awesome service and fast shipping!

Seems to be a well made product. I found it to be relatively easy to install. Directions were decent. The truck rides and handles well. Towed a friends 25 foot Parker Pilothouse boat and with 12 pounds of air pressure in the bags, the tongue weight caused very little squat in the rear of my truck. I am very happy with this product as I tow frequently. Very reasonably priced. I enjoy dealing with Stage 3 Motorsports.

The kit works great and installation took about 3 hrs. My only complaint was the shipping. The entire kit came in a 2 ft by 2 ft box with no packing whatsoever. Everything was just banging around inside the box and paint was chipped off of every bracket. I had to repaint everything to avoid rusting. I'm not sure if that falls on stage 3 or Firestone themselves. It definitely improved handling while towing my 27 ft trailer.

Price was the best I could find but my kit included two lower left brackets. Of course, I only discovered this as I was installing the right side and had already installed the left side. This happened on a weekend before I was rolling out with a heavy trailer on Monday and Stage 3 is closed on weekends. Definitely put me in a bad spot as I had to uninstall the whole thing and find another (different) airbag kit locally at a much higher price.

just received the kit this morning (2525 ride rite air bag ) box beat up open box crumbled paper piled up on top of the contents to help hold it (not a very good packing idea) good news all components are there beat up and scratched no big deal they are going under truck but wish they didn't look used when they arrived (they were not used just looked it )will be in stalling them this weekend . hope the single valve fill makes it since they ship it from another location looks like a very heavy duty looking forward to trying these out as our first trip is in three weeks will be back to add to review the results overall the kit does look very dependable direction look very good and easy to fallow good news the sticker did not get any damage and the instruction booklet comes in a plastic sleeve to be stored in glove box so far I believe it to be worth the money be back soon after we use them to add the rest of my review

Great product, high quality, easy installation (took me just over an 90min. In my driveway) works flawlessly and makes a HUGE difference in towing my 24' enclosed. Only issue I had was the packaging. Comes loose with no packing material and the parts smash into each other. I'll still rate 5 but packing needs to be improved or there will be damaged boxes that show up With parts sticking out the side.

These airbags and brackets are very high quality compared to what I've installed in the past. Install time took about an hour but I pre built the brackets and bags before hand. My only complaint is the torque specs they give aren't correct. If you tighten the lower brackets to 20ftlbs as directed you'll bend them and they will bind up on your springs, so just go until they're snug.

Works very well when you have a trailer or a load. I agree with the other review, the parts were loose in the box and needed repainting. I also have a squeak that started after installation, seems like the leafs are rubbing on the bracket. I retorqued everything and still a squeak, I ended up just spraying down the leafs/ u bolt area with some lube and quiet as can be.

This is review of the installation as I have not utilized the product yet. Installation took about 4 hours solo. This was due to the fact that I take my time and two challenges during the install. The first challenge was that there are two brake lines on the drivers side that partially blocked the access hole for the retainer nuts. I ended up trimming off part of the retainer nut handle to ensure it did not rub on the brake line. Second, when installing the frame bracket and torquing to the specified value, the bracket deformed slightly due the truck frame not being flat. This prevented the bracket on the airbag from fitting into the frame bracket without spreading the frame bracket slightly - which was no easy task. If I were to do it again, I would cut a piece of metal to fit into the frame bracket (or preposition the airbag bracket) prior to torquing to prevent it from deforming. I think the second time around I could cut the installation time in half. Overall this appears to be a well built product and will work well for my application. Four star rating is due to installation challenges.

What a difference! Install way very easy, on a scale of 1-10 difficulty, I would say probably a 3 (and only that hard because I did it on my sloped driveway and a dropped socket would roll away). My only problem was a leaky inflation valve, but a quick call to Firestone customer service and I had one in my mailbox 3 days later. I tow a 18' car trailer occasionally, and these air springs make my 1/2 ton feel like a 1 ton truck! I wish I had installed these when first bought it brand new, well worth the $$. If you tow, you need these. I did not install an on board compressor, as I have regular access to air, and quite honestly, I have even used a bicycle pump with ease to fill them. I am thinking about the on board compressor though, it would be a bit more convinient.

Customer Question With this kit so I need to install an air compressor? Or can I add air with one

Asked by: Mitchell - 3/27/2021
Customer Answer You technically do not need an on-board compressor. The Ride Rite Kit comes with enough air line that you can route them nearly anywhere (though we recommend out the rear near the license plate for easiest access. You can feasibly use any portable or standard air compressor with the kit, though an on-board will make your life a lot easier if you're towing fairly often.

Asked by: Brenton - 2/28/2021
Customer Answer The kit should work fine with a 4" rear block and add-a-leaf. The 4" rear block doesn't effect the kit at all. The saddle U-bolts included in the kit are long enough to handle the add-a-leaf without issues.

Asked by: Mike - 8/7/2020
Customer Answer If you have a newer-style Rough Country lift kit with anti-wrap blocks, you'll need to remove the smaller, outer U-bolts in order for this kit to fit, but it can be done assuming you're using factory leaf springs.

Customer Question What on-board compressor system is recommended with the 2525 kit? I kind of like the idea of a remote for easier installation and less wiring, but also want something quality.

Asked by: Jared - 8/6/2019
Customer Answer You have more than a few options when it comes to wireless control. Your real choice is going to depend on whether you're fine with a single-path system that only inflates both Air Springs evenly, if you want to be able to adjust air in each spring independently for uneven loads, of if you want a system that can also inflate your tires or other stuff. On the low end, you have the basic Airlift WirelessOne System to Firestone's Wireless Xtreme Duty F3 Kit. Your best bet would be to call us directly at 623-434-5277 so we can get more specific with what you're looking for.

Customer Question I assume these come with no T-fitting so an uneven load can be leveled? Also will fender liners needed to be removed or trimmed for clearance?

Asked by: Steve - 7/23/2019
Customer Answer This kit does not come with a T-fitting. Each spring has its own air fittings, and enough air line is included to route a supply line for each air spring independently, allowing you to manually adjust for uneven loads. If you're running an on-board compressor, then things get a little bit sticky, as independent inflation is going to depend on the compressor system you've chosen.

Asked by: Brendan - 4/7/2019
Customer Answer Whether this kit works on your truck depends on how you've achieved your extra rear lift. If you're just using a 2" rear block in place of stock, then you shouldn't have any issues. If you have a different leaf pack, or some kind of weird block/add-a-leaf combo, then you could have problems. The optional spacer is included as part of the kit.

Customer Question I have installed this air bag kit along with a Zone 4" lift on my 2014 F-150 4x4. If I were to jack up the rear of the truck by the frame (such as for changing rear shocks), the weight of the whole rear axle would hang by the air bags because the shock travel is much longer than the travel of the air bags. Is this OK? It doesn't seem good for the air bags to me.

Asked by: Kevin Hendriksma - 10/8/2018
Customer Answer it's not great for the air springs, and we don't recommend it. Rear shocks can actually be changed with the truck on the ground unless you can't wrestle the piston into position or if you're installing reservoir shocks. If you do need full axle droop, you should unbolt the air spring from one of their brackets.

Customer Question Would this kit work on a 2014 F-150 4x4 that has 2" rear blocks right now (from Rough Country 3" lift). I will be replacing that lift in the next few months with either a Rough Country 4" lift or a Zone Offroad 4" lift. I am not sure how tall the rear blocks are on either of those. I may be leaning more toward Zone because I think it keeps a little bit of rake. Will the Firestone 2525 kit still work with either of those 4" lifts? If not, do they offer spacers or something to make it work with the 4" lift?

Asked by: Kevin - 7/30/2018
Customer Answer This air spring kit will work with your current rear block setup, as well as with a lift kit. That being said, if you install it now and want to add a lift kit later, you'll have to partially disassemble the Ride-Rite System due to how it sits on top of your F150's leaf springs in order to install the larger rear block that comes with most aftermarket lift kits. To save yourself some work/install time, you should probably consider waiting until after your lift kit install do add the Ride-Rite System to your truck.

Customer Question Is there much difference between this kit and the 4wd air lift kit? I’m looking for some extra support when towing my travel trailer.

Asked by: Will - 7/6/2018
Customer Answer The Ride-Rite and Air Lift kits do have very different installs. The Ride-Rite Kit installs between the frame and the leaf springs, while the Air Lift Kit installs onto the axle. The Ride-Rite Kit will work with add-a-leafs and slightly taller rear blocks without additional hardware, but the Air Lift kits require extra spacers. That all being said, if you're not planning on doing a rear block or add-a-leaf kit in conjunction with your air springs, then either system will work fine.

Due to the low stock height of my truck I can't get the full potential out of my weight distribution hitch and wanted some advice on which kit would help solve my issues? thanks

Asked by: B.B. - 6/18/2017
Customer Answer Air springs would definitely help, especially if you're not interested in changing your truck's ride height. Though depending on your tongue weight and what kind of suspension modifications you're willing to make, you could potentially do a set of Add-a-Leafs. Granted, Add-a-Leafs would leave you with a bunch of front rake when you're unloaded, but pairing them with a front leveling kit would give your truck a great look.

Customer Question I have a 2013 F150 EB Fx4 and am planning on installing the 1.5" Procomp AAL. Is there a solution to also install these airbags to this configuration? Spacers? I also do occasional offroading requiring decent articulation. I have heard that if you overextend an air bag there is a chance that bag damage could occur. Thoughts? Any other solution that provides the function of an air bag but also does not limit articulation? Thanks.

Asked by: Darren - 12/5/2016
Customer Answer This kit can fit with an Add-a-Leaf Kit, since the U-bolts and bail clamps generally have enough thread to handle the extra leaf spring. That being said, this kit will limit your travel off-road, and tearing can be a possibility if you're doing aggressive trail riding or crawling. Depending on what you're towing or hauling, you may just want to do the Add-a-Leaf kit and see if that's enough to help your truck out.

Customer Answer Our understanding of all our air springs is based solely on suspension load, and while tongue weight plays a roll in overall load, it's not the principle measurement used for the capacity of these springs.

Asked by: Pablo - 5/6/2015
Customer Answer Unless you're towing fairly heavy loads or tow on a regular basis, then this kit probably isn't what you need to get your truck back under control. If you're getting a bouncy ride out of your rear end, then it's likely you have some bad shocks that just need replacing, which will generally be less expensive than grabbing an air bag kit and then an on-board compressor to make it work seamlessly.
