Being able to get yourself or your friends out of trouble when you hit those trails is absolutely essential for the serious off-road enthusiast, and our friends over at Recon offer up this powerful, low-cost BRUTE FORCE winch to help you out. Recon's winch has up to 17,500lbs of pulling potential and comes with 92ft of aircraft-grade braided steel cabling that's strong enough for basically any application. This winch kit's 10"x4.5" mounting bolt pattern allows it to be installed on practically any universal winch mounting plate or off-road bumper with a winch mount.

Reliable and Powerful Design

Recon's BRUTE FORCE Winch is built around a 7 horsepower electric motor with a 358.1:1 gear ratio with 3-stage planetary gears that maximize the motor's torque output. The winch features a sliding gear clutch and an in-the-drum brake for reliable and responsive operation. The winch's 3.5" diameter drum feeds the cabling through a 4-way roller fairlead which reduces cable wear and tear. Recon's BRUTE FORCE winch comes with 2-gauge battery leads to make wiring as easy as possible. The winch is controlled by a hand-held remote with 12 feet of cable that allows you to stand well clear of the winch in case of failure.

Uprated Battery Recommended

Each winch comes with high-quality hardware and instructions. Recon recommends using at least a 650CCA battery for winching, and something with even higher outputs if you're running other gear.
