2009-2014 F150 & Raptor Recon LED 3rd Brake Light (Clear) 264111CL

My truck is white, so I went with the clear Recon 3rd brake light. The price here on Stage 3 is great, especially with the free shipping. Shipping was fast. Not a fault of Stage 3, but my only gripes are I did have to cut my factory wiring. I also do not like the thickness of the gasket on the Recon light. It is very thick, and doesn't allow the light to sit as flush as factory. I did use clear RTV to ensure no leaking. I ended up installing it just like the video shows here: butt connectors and heat shrink. The wires are too small for soldering. Recon light comes with 24awg wire, and the factory wire is 22awg. Use a size 22 butt connector, and double over the wire on the light, and you will have a great connection. I was a little disappointed with the light output with it being a clear light. The red tail light is a bit brighter than stock, but the white cargo lights are not. But I did it mostly for the look, and the cargo lights match my license plate lights now. I will be going for the red LED Recon tail lights here soon as money allows. 4 stars for not being plug and play.

Fits perfect on my 2012 F150. Very easy just needed to splice a few wires together. Very bright and great quality.

Just got this in the mail today. Mine didn’t come with the gasket as shown in the photos which is the only reason I bought this. My OEM light leaks which is the only reason I’m replacing it. Considering returning this and just sealing the light with expanding foam (inside) or clear sealant. Looks to be decent quality but the box describes this as “plug and play” which it isn’t. I watched the video and knew this when I bought it, but the fact that the box has the wrong info on it makes me believe this is a cheap product. Wouldn’t recommend. Very cheap quality and workmanship.
