Typical recon over priced junk. I took a chance & got bit again. I splurged & got the light with the high powered cargo lights & they're absolutely useless & i wish i had saved the extra $50 & just ordered the non high powered setup.The cargo lights are total crap.

Very quick and easy super easy install. I wasn't expecting a ton of cargo light output because of the reality it is a smoked lens, I wasn't disappointed. I love the black look, they look solid black until they are lit and the way the lens is designed the cargo lights create an illusion of a pair of cat eyes look that look amazing as the illusion follows as you move around the back. The only thing I added was corrugated cable protector to clean up the cable and make sure no vibration could be heard from the cable but not necessary (I'm just OCD with my electronics and installs in general). In all likelihood there may never be any issue with any noises, just a precaution. There is plenty of cable on the unit, much more than OEM which is fine, seal seems very good and don't expect to have any issues with it.. ever, quality product. If you are buying them to create more light output than the stock, keep the stock incandescent. If you want them because you agree the OEM look corny and you want something quality and look BA, then get these.

The smoked is perfect on my black truck except reusing the factory screws that are silver show the silver spots. Black touch up paint the screw heads and very nice. Not sure the leds are any brighter though

There are so few options for aftermarket third brake lights for this truck. This is the best looking one available in my opinion. The price point is not at all reasonable for what you get here. The output on the cargo lights does not even reach the back of the bed. I'm happy to have a smoked third brake light. All things considered, I would go back and spend half the money to get replacement led bulbs and tint the OEM housing.

I bought this for my 2015 F150 Platinum and the plug for the wiring harness did not fit into the factory plug so I had to hard wire it. That was the only negative. Looks awesome though, very impressed

Instructions are not included in the box, however if you do read the instructions online you'll find that the connector works just fine and no splicing is required. The factory light connector is hidden on the underside of the cab sheet metal, hanging from two white plastic tabs. The cargo lights aren't that bright but admit it, most of us just buy these for looks.

The new light should have came with black screws. It's not as bright as expected, but overall it looks sharp! The installation took about 20min, new light came with 2 plugs but I could only fish one cable out from the old factory light, not sure what the other plug is used for?

Super dark, not smoked, more like tinted. Light output sucks. I recommend getting the cheaper option. Nice quality though, and fits my theme.

Installed easy. Just needed to find the connector - instruction here if you need them - file:///Users/michaelcarlisle/Desktop/Install%20Guide%20for%20RECON%20part%20264129BK.pdf DONT SPLICE - the connector is in there. Looks great works great. Not as much light for the cargo but... to be expected with a tinted lens. Would give it 5 stars but because of the dimmer light and the digging for instructions on how to install correctly and the LED red light looks a little to tech.

I am very pleased with this third brake light. It was very simple to install. After reading other reviews I spray painted the screws black. Also I seen another review where a user had to cut the wires and splice it in cuz he could not find the wiring harness. I assure you the harness is there it is held in by the plastic clips which you can see the bottom side protruding through. Pop those out then you have access to the harness.

Bang for your buck! 10 minute install. Bright white leds for your cargo lights. Bright red leds for your break lights. Aesthetically beautiful. Very aggressive look!

Awesome! Bright as can be! The cargo lights are like searchlights! One of the best upgrades I have made for my lithium grey STX. Really dresses it up nicely. Spend the extra bucks and get this. You won't be disappointed.

I would describe the cargo lights as dim at best. Fitment good but it is definitely not worth the price. I would have been better off doing a tint wrap of the stock and getting some good quality LED bulbs.

Customer Answer According to Recon, this 3rd brake light will fit 2021-2022 F150s, but will require splicing, since the 2021-2022 F150s use a different connector.

Customer Answer The brake light will not function like a full-time DRL. The running light function will only activate with your parking lights or your truck's low beams.
