2009-2014 Ford F150 & Ford Raptor Recon Smoked Amber LED Front Side Mirror Turn Signals | 264241BK

I purchased these lights in an effort to rid myself of the bright orange reflectors on my FX4. Based on another review I deciced to test the lights to ensure they both worked before I proceeded with the install; they did! I read the instructions and watched the video here a couple of times; seemed pretty easy, and it was! However, it should be noted that there was no need to use a cutting wheel as descibed in the instructions. The only problem I found was that the light for the driver side doesn't sit flush like the light on the passenger side; it bows slightly in the middle as if the light is too large for the hole. When I attempted to remove the light to investigate the cause the lens started to seperate from the backboard but a little Super Glue resolved that problem. I really didn't feel like griding on the light housing or the mirror so I left it as is (for now). I tried some 3M VHB tape, but the pressure exuded on the light is too great to allow it to hold. I also found it useful to drill a small hole in the mirror behind the light to act as a relief to run the wiring through. Contrary to what the description states my light kit DID NOT come with any hardware to make the wiring connections; so, be prepared for that. Instead of wire taps I cut both wires leading to the OEM LEDs and used environmental splices. To my surprise the light kit did come with plain black caps that fill the holes if you ever decide to pull the lights out. Not sure why these aren't sold as a seperate option? The lights look great (except for my small bow on the drivers side) and function well, but they're not super bright. I assume that is because of the smoked lenses. The smoke blends well with the black mirror backs, but if you want something a little brighter you may want to go with the clear lenses. Stage 3 did impress me with their quick delivery via FedEx at no extra charge; well done!

product looks great, this probably only happened to me but my passenger side light didn't light up when I tested it, so against my better judgment I opened the light up and in doing so broke a small piece of the plastic so I will not be able to return it. I did however also find the problem one of the leads had broke its solder connection. So to be fair I should have just returned the passenger light as soon as I tested and I am confident they would have swapped out with no issue

Another great product by Recon!!! They look awesome & really clean up the overall look of my truck. Installation was straight forward once I figured out how to get mirrors off. These are a great upgrade to any F-150!

Only received the lights, no splicing connectors or instructions (luckily I had connectors and the internet). Like others have said, the drivers side light seems to have been made using a mold with an imperfection as it doesn't follow the curve of the mirror as well as the passenger side. The lights seem to fit a little loose, so I added some 3M double sided tape just to ensure they'd stay in place. As long as you're not afraid to take apart the mirror to install these, it's a pretty simple install. Overall, they look good and function well.

Very easy install. The only part you have to be careful with is removing the mirrors. I found it easiest to pop the mirror loose from the top side on each mirror, instead of the bottom where you cant see because its dark. Just tilt the mirror down as far as you can and use a flat blade screwdriver and gently pop the four clips loose by prying on them. After that, the bottom clips with just pop right off. There were no 18-22 gauge wire splice connectors in the kit like others have said. If I installed again, I'd likely use connectors that you could disconnect if you needed to take the mirror off again otherwise you'll have to cut the wires to remove the mirror now. Passenger side fit is perfect. Drivers side fit is definitely bowed a little bit just like others have said. There's nothing you can really do...the mold must be just a little different than stock. It's very slight and nothing to be worried about. Others would never notice it, only the installer. Overall it's a pretty sweet kit and looks killer!

Overall, good. I thought they would be blinkers AND running lights...should have read description better. If they were both, I would give 5 stars. I have hooked as running lights and they are fine. Blinkers too would be way better though :(

I love this upgrade. I always hated that it was just a reflector right there, so I got this. You can see it pretty well during the day and it's even better at night. The ghost look matches my truck pretty nicely also. Install wasn't that bad, just had to wire it in with the wires that are already in the mirror.

Great item, but it does not come with the quick splice connectors. Otherwise it would be 5 stars

The light look great and as previously mentioned the driver side doesn't fir as snug as the passenger. Secondly, they are lightly sealed and when installing the base separated from the lens very easy, not as robust as the Anzo lights. This will be a super glue repair and add the 3M tape to secure the install.

Easy to install, I kept the mirror on the entire time and took the wire through the holes in the back side were the reflector was. tap into those are your good. Strong as well, i hit a mailbox shattered my mirror and cracked the housing but the light blinks when i need it too...good job on these recon.

Personally I expected the fit to be better. The lenses I received stick out from the mirror housing more than the OEM lenses. They are thicker, likely due to having the LED inside. Where I see the problem though is toward the outside of the mirror housing, it makes a bend, the lenses aren't molded correctly for that bend so they don't sit flush with the housing. Also concerned about long term quality since one of the lenses separated from the backing plate during installation which I resealed myself. I'm going to give them 3 stars, I'd go 3.5 but I don't have that choice.

Look fantastic! For wiring, just connect through existing blinker wires (i.e.OEM green/white wire to LED black/white wire and OEM black wire to black LED wire). VIOLA!! I did use clear RTV silicone around the lenses to keep out water. Have had several positive comments. Really completes look with Recon taillights and third brake light.

Great product, smooth finish, LEDs are quality, and the stage3motorsports install video made install simple. My only issue with these was the hardware to tie in wasn't in my kit. luckily I had some on hand so it was no issue at all and had my truck looking sweet.

I was surprised at how easy they were to install. It would have been nice if they came with wire connectors and shrink but not a big deal. They look great on my black Raptor and really change the profile.

Well made - I ended up not wiring the LED lights, but it looks so much better than the amber reflectors that came stock. I love the subtle difference it makes!
