Airaid's cold air intake brings in a ton more air than your factory air box while 5-Star's tuning carefully alters your engine's fuel curves and timing to get your F150 running at its absolute best. 5-Stars' custom tunes are all specifically designed with the Airaid cold air intake in mind to give your truck the one-two punch it needs to make great power. Both the intake and tunes are easy to install and this kit comes in several variations to best suit your build.
Efficient Airaid Cold Air Intake
Airaid's cold air intake is one of the best-quality and highest-performing CAI systems that you can find for your 5.0L F150. Each intake is built around a massive conical air filter with your choice of either Airaid's SynthaFlow oiled filter or SynthaMax dry filter. The filter fits into a complete heat shield assembly that seals against your F150's hood with a piece of weatherstripping to help prevent heat soak. The filter pulls air into a large-diameter, roto-molded inlet tube that maintains air velocity and volume all the way to your truck's throttle body to maximize performance gains. The intake is extremely simple to install and comes with all the hardware and instructions you need to drop it directly into your truck.
Choose an SCT Livewire TS+ OR an X4 Handheld Tuner
This performance package comes standard with an SCT X4 Tuner, but it can be upgraded to the SCT Livewire TS+. The Livewire features a full-color touchscreen display that allows you to easily keep tabs on your F150's engine parameters, check DTC's, and efficiently navigate all of your available custom tunes. It is extremely easy to use and includes a windshield mount, OBD-II cable, and a USB cable to download custom tunes from your home PC.
NOTE: Both SCT tuners use the same custom tune files and will produce the same power gains.
Select Tunes by Octane and Performance
5-Star's tunes turn up your 2011 to 2014 F150 5.0L's power by adjusting its fuel curves, ignition timing, fan control, and a ton of other variables so that your truck makes huge amounts of horsepower and torque. 5-Star's custom tuning even takes into account tire size, drivetrain, and axle ratio so that your F150 operates perfectly with your choice of tune. 5-Star's custom tunes are available in several variations for 87, 89, 91, or 93 octane gasoline to give you a wide range of tuning options.
From the factory, the 5.0L F150s are a little sluggish, thanks to their less than ideal mid-range torque and transmission shifting that's designed for fuel economy over responsiveness. 5-Star's tuning helps immensely by increasing low-end torque over stock, while adjusting your truck's shift points, pressures, and throttle sensitivity for much more responsive driving. More importantly, 5-Star's tuning provides increased power throughout the entire rev range so that you always have extra performance on tap. 5-Star's 5.0L test truck made 270 horsepower and around 285lb-ft of torque at the wheels. With 5-Star's 93 octane Performance/Tow tune, their test vehicle threw down 290 peak horsepower and 315lb-ft of peak torque, which makes for an instantly noticeable gain in power. Their truck even picked up gains of up to 25lb-ft of torque below 2750rpm, which is right where the 5.0L F150s are sorely lacking. Even 5-Star's 87 octane Performance/Tow tune was able to put down 275 peak horsepower and 295lb-ft of torque, meaning you can make your truck feel and drive much better than stock, even on low-octane fuel.

Stage 3's 5-Star Custom Tuning Step-by-Step:
1. Place your order for 5-Star's Custom Tunes.
2. Stage 3 sends you a "blank" tuner without custom tunes.
3. Connect your tuner to your truck and pull its ECU strategy code.
4. Fill out our online tune form with your info.
5. 5-Star creates your tunes, you will be emailed a link to download them.
6. Download 5-Star's tunes to your PC and then load them to your tuner using SCT's Device Updater Software.
7. Load your 5-Star Custom Tune of choice into your F150.
SCT's software is ONLY compatible with Microsoft Windows computers. Once the tunes are successfully loaded onto the tuner, you can tune your truck.
