When paired with custom tuning, substantial improvements to horsepower and torque are achieved. The kit just drops into your stock location and will instantly make an impact on your Ranger truck. This replacement stock turbocharger is just what your 2.3L EcoBoost needs to keep chugging along for years to come.

Gorgeous Looking Turbocharger and Wheels

The design of the turbocharger and wheels use great components to beef up your Ranger. In house made CNC Machining provides strong, long-lasting material to withstand stress that tearing up off-road trails can cause. A 66mm/67mm billet compressor wheel features a perfect design to draw in the right amount of air when it is spinning, and features tough billet material for long-use. A 6+6 blade also adds so much improvement over stock and looks great on your turbocharger. A digital assembly balance helps balance all components for a better lasting and running turbocharger.

Custom Tuning Required: 2019-2020 Ford Ranger Custom Tuning is required for proper use of this turbo system.

Would this be an upgrade for the explorer as well since they both use the same turbo?

This turbo is not confirmed to fit the 2.3L EcoBoost Explorers. They likely do have differences in design, since the Explorers use a transverse engine configuration versus longitudinal in the Rangers.

Yep. This turbocharger will fit all 2019-2022 Rangers, regardless of submodel.

How do I find the right person in my area to do the tune?

You would need to call around to local dyno shops and see if they can tune your Ranger and if they can tune for this turbocharger.

This turbocharger will require a custom tune. The Ford Performance tune is meant for the factory turbo.

So is the only upgrade over stock the larger fins? No other improvements elsewhere (eg. bearings)?

The turbos feature a larger compressor wheel and machined housings to accommodate the wheel. All other components are OEM.

Where do I get the tune for this? How much difference is there in power

5-Star can tune for this turbo. Any power gains are going to be dependent on your other modifications, what tune you're running, and what octane you're running and tuned for. In theory, this turbo can support up to 340 horsepower on 93 octane with a downpipe and intake. More realistic power figures are probably closer to the 300hp range.
