These taillights are a great upgrade from the factory halogen taillights. The LED outline looks similar to the Ford OEM LED taillights. They are much brighter and the LED reverse light is much brighter making it easier to see when backing up at night. Install took about 15-20 minutes. Only trouble was removing the stock bulb from the harness. After that, it was a simple plug-and-play. The lights match up smoothly with the body lines unlike the gen 1s. I would definitely recommend buying these if you are looking to upgrade your taillights!

These hit the market at the perfect timing for me, when someone backed into the corner of my truck and busted my driver's tail. I've always planned on installing Anzo head and taillights but was hesitant due to the Gen 1 tail's profile. These are perfect. The outline looks great, the brake and led backup are extremely bright. Completely plug and play.

Easy install, they do still stick out slightly further than the body but otherwise they fit great. I've only had them for a short time but I'm glad I bought them. Stage3 shipped them fast and I had them within a few days.

I really wanted these to be the tail lights I was looking for, but they're just not. They've got a couple issues that really take them down a few notches. The first and most glaring issue is the fitment. I have Anzo headlights and they fit great, but these taillights both fit fairly poorly and are not made terribly well, as when I first started putting in the first tail light, as I was lining up the pins and hardly putting pressure on the light at all one of them broke off. Within like 2 minutes of me opening the box... Ah well, I put it in anyways, being familiar with the time-consuming Stage 3 return process, and also thinking that the screw in the back would keep it in well enough. I was wrong. The headlight even with the screw in wobbles all over the place and has a huge gap unless I'm physically pushing the light into place. Here's the catch though - both headlights are like this, even the one that still had all of the pins. They'll look just fine for a second, but then I'll take the truck through a touchless car wash and when I'm done they're super misplaced and look terrible... My second issue with them is that the red illuminated LED strip is actually white when the lights aren't on. The LEDs aren't strong enough to light them very well during the day, so if the tail light ever illuminates in the sun/during the day the color of the strip is more of an orange rather than a deep red, which looks super cheap. Also, the white casing of the LED strip is two pieces, and they meet in the middle of the headlight where there's a huge line, and this catches the sun when the lights are off and is very visible, also making the headlight look cheap. You can see the line in the product photos. Lastly, and the final straw, is that now after just over 4 months with the lights, I'm getting condensation in one for the first time ever with any aftermarket light. I had hoped that at this price point these lights would be at least a usable visual upgrade over the stock lights, but unfortunately they are only good looking from a distance and have poor quality materials. I work in a business that sells plastic products, and I understand that sometimes you get a bad patch of pieces that are overly brittle or fragile. But the quality of the plastic doesn't change the poor fitment or condensation issues, leading me to believe that Anzo just didn't put enough effort into making this light acceptable quality. It's a bummer, as I had hopes for this light, and I like the look of Anzo products, but after this and a persistent issue with my Anzo headlights (which has happened again on my second pair) I'm afraid I can't recommend these at all. On the plus side, they look nice at night...

First mark down is packaging. It is horrible and one alignment pin was already broken when i received them but I installed anyways. Poor judgement from me. The fitment is poor on both lights. They do not line up as they should. “like anzo headlights.” Now they are two months old and have condensation on both lenses. According to stage3 they can only be exchanged for warranty when they have standing water. For the price you think they would be better like the headlights but they are not. At night the outline looks like poor quality. I do not recommend. I would not purchase again!

These do stick out further than stock, but not anywhere near as bad as Gen 1s. I went back and forth over whether to get these black housings with clear lenses or the housings with the chrome at the LED arrays (for brake and reverse) but with the smoked lens. I am happy I went with the black housing because I'm deleting all chrome but still think I'm going to take the truck to a professional shop to smoke the tail lights (along with a very light smoke for the headlights) for 2 reasons. 1) it will look more expensive=more better if you hide everything just a tiny bit and don't show the odd plastic bits so prominently 2) The LED strip is washed out by external light and it looks pink in the daytime. Smoke the lens and you avoid external light pollution and red should show up at least a little deeper because it is reflecting onto the darker surface rather than competing with sunlight. If #2 doesn't work, at least I made it look more expensive, right? Also, do yourself a favor and do the FORScan programming to get these and your Anzo headlight LED strips to stay on with the mod that makes parking lights your DRL lights. Looks fantastic at night time. Working on the daytime part ;). If the black housings came with smoked lenses, this likely would've been 5 stars. Still had to knock off 1 star because of the clear lense and light pollution that washes out the red outline. I really almost wish that they made the LED plank/bar with a red crystallized/reflective cover and red LED strip under it. I know Gen1s had problems with the light diffuser and showing individual LEDs but I wish there was a better compromise between the two ways of doing it. Not sure I'm that into the white stripes when the truck is off.

First off, these lights look awesome over the stock red/chrome ones. Everything looked great in the box, a few minor things here and there but nothing to send them back over. Remember, you’re installing these on your truck and not your supercar, everything doesn’t need to be perfect. Install is very easy with some basic hand tools and should take you about 20-30 mins, check YouTube. Fitment was not perfect 9/10 but again the only one who will know is you. Since I just installed them I cannot speak to any condensation issues so hopefully they will hold up good. Overall, the look and functionality is 10/10.

Great looking taillights, if your questioning getting them, pull the trigger! The led lights are very bright and quality is outstanding over OEM. Only thing I would change about them is the fitment gaps around the light. It varies from truck to truck, but they still look outstanding and not noticeable unless brought up.

Customer Question Why do you guys have a p65 warning. Can you let us know how the tail lights can cause cancer? Through the light output? Or chemical inside the housing?

Asked by: Jon do - 11/26/2018
Customer Answer These lights won't cause cancer. They contain an element or substance that potentially caused in increase in chances of developing cancer in a lab setting. The compounds used in these lights are chemically stable, and as long as you don't eat the things or light them on fire and breathe in the fumes, you'll probably be fine.

Customer Question How does the backup light output compare to LED replacement bulbs in the stock tail lights?

Asked by: Tony - 11/5/2018
Customer Answer Backup light output of these taillights is brighter than most budget-tier LEDs, but it's definitely not as good as some of the really powerful LED backup light options out there, though you will have to pay a premium to get that level of output.
