The Pacific Performance Engineering Heavy-Duty Aluminum Transmission Pan for the 2017-2025 F150s with a Ford 10R80 automatic transmission helps improve transmission heat dissipation so that you pull at the edge of your truck's GCWR without having to pull off the road or need to take an unexpected cooling break when you're pushing your truck hard out on the trail. The PPE 10R80 Transmission pan is a bolt-on replacement for the factory plastic transmission pan and features an all-aluminum construction with large internal and external fins that keep temperatures lower without adding extra oil capacity. The pan even comes with a drain port and plug to make fluid changes much easier than with the stock pan. This version of PPE's transmission pan comes in a natural aluminum finish for a clean look on your truck.

Cast Aluminum Construction with Oversized Cooling Fins, Magnetic Drain Plug, and New Hardware

The PPE 10R180 Transmission Pan was designed from the ground up to more effectively get heat of your F150 or Ranger's transmission to improve the lifespans of both your transmission fluid and the transmission itself. PPE manufactures each of their pans entirely out of cast aluminum that makes them much stronger than stock and resistant to becoming brittle over time with oil exposure and heat cycles like the stock plastic pans. The all-aluminum construction is paired with extra-large, 3/4" cooling fins that increase the exposed surface area of the pan to promote improved heat dissipation away from the trans fluid and transmission internal components to keep overall temperatures lower than stock. The pan features a deeper design than stock, which allows for an additional 1-3/4 quarts of fluid capacity over the stock transmission pan. PPE designed the pan with a built-in drain port and includes a magnetic drain plug that allows you to change your transmission fluid without needing to remove the entire pan. Each pan reuses the stock gasket and filter, while PPE provides new and improved hardware. The pan comes backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Awesome product! Shipping was fast and the price is unbeatable, you won't find it any cheaper. Installation took about 3 hours. This is the larger capacity pan and it fits perfect, has a drain plug for easier fluid changes, and factory cooler mounts right up to it. Order a filter and two extra qts of fluid. I made a video on YouTube showing installation on my truck if you have an doubts. Ditch the the plastic pan!

2019 Ford Ranger XLT FX4 Sport Crew

Pan appear very well made and fit right up. Between this and the B&M dipstick (actually made my own - just AN8 orb and flare fittings and 36" SS hose with a bulkhead fitting and custom Al mount under the hood) future trans oil and filter should be much easier and enjoyable vs having to hand pump fluid out and back in to the transmission vs the hand burner dipstick by the exhaust (stupid stupid design). One very important note and I hope PPE or S3MS guys here can address this issue - the bolt torque specs in the included instructions state 18-20ft-lbs. That is dead wrong. I experienced one bolt break in half and another was stretching and about to snap. I had to remove the pan, center drill the broken bolt and use an easy out to remove it. Fortunately it backed out very easily. I had some M6 x 25mm cap screws i temporarily replaced the two damaged bolts with. Also I've seen others reinstall the exhaust heat shield - I left mine off. It's there to protect the plastic pan. The aluminum pan doesn't need protection and the shield was tight against it anyway completely negating any shielding anyway. Last bit I did was purchase some SS M6 x25mm flange Allen screws that have a 14mm diameter head and replaced ALL the bolts with. Using 3 different size sockets to drop the pan was a PITA - no thank you! One size for all! Photos attachedededed :)

2018 F150 3.5

Excellent product, misleading install (not stage3’s fault). Everything I’ve read is that 5.0 trucks are harder to drop the pan, the 3.5 seem even worse. Add on top this larger bulkier pan, and I spent most of a day disassembling the truck to try to wedge this between the trans and exhaust. It is NOT an easy install, you need to either remove the down pipes completely, or a combo of loosening them and raising the trans from the crossmember to get this to fit. Other than that, awesome product. Typical quick shipping from Stage 3. Thanks!

2019 Ford Ranger

Beautiful piece of work. Like the additional oil capacity. Don't really know if it helps performance but anything is better than the plastic original. Easy installation but do yourself a favor and get some type of pump to replace the fluid.

2023 F150

To the guy that said PPE install instructions said to torque pan bolts to 18ft lbs....you're 100% wrong! The DRAIN PLUG should be torqued to 18-20 ft lbs! It CLEARLY states 8 ft lbs for the PAN BOLTS! IN THE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS: 6. Fit cleaned factory gasket to PPE Pan. Install and secure PPE Pan to housing with factory hardware. Finger-tight for now. 7. Tighten in a crossing pattern (Fig.1). Torque to 8 ft lbs. 8. (Tighten Drain Plug to 18-22 ft lbs and snug NPT plug) etc.... DO NOT let that review deter you from buying!! Awesome trans pan. Buy it.

2019 F150 Lariat 3.5

Most of the YouTube videos where close on the installation. I had to unbolt my exhaust from the manifold, support the transmission, remove the cross member and remove the exhaust mounts from the transmission. More work than I expected but after completing project I am very happy. Took 10 qts. to fill the transmission back up with the extra pan and new filter.
