Customer Question With this fit the 2005 f150 XLT4x4?

Asked by: David Kalin - 2/24/2022
Customer Answer Yep. This shock will fit a 2005 F150 XLT with 4WD without issues, assuming you're using the factory block.

Customer Question Can I use these if I have 2” block levels on the rear end of an 05 f150 4x4?

Asked by: Josh - 9/13/2019
Customer Answer If you're using 2" rear blocks that replace your F150's factory blocks, then you can use the Bilstein 5100s without issues. If you're using 2" stacked blocks that give you a net 2" of lift, you'll need to use something like the Halo Lifts Boss 2.0 Shocks that can handle up to 2" of rear lift.

Customer Question Can these be used with zone 4 inch suspension lift? I have these currently and I am considering purchasing the zone lift.

Asked by: Ron - 10/18/2017
Customer Answer They cannot. These shocks are not long enough to handle a 4" lift kit. You would need the BDS Fox 2.0 Rear Shocks for 4" Lifts if you want an upgraded rear shock that can handle a 4" lift kit.

Customer Question will these fit with a 5" rear block?

Asked by: J - 9/6/2017
Customer Answer They will not. The tallest rear block these shocks can reasonably handle is a 3" stock replacement block. If you have a 5" block, then you should be looking at the BDS Fox 2.0 Shocks for 6" Lift Kits.

Customer Question Does this shock raise the rear of the truck approximately one inch?

Asked by: Bocephus - 1/14/2017
Customer Answer It does not. A shock on its own can't provide any lift. You would need either a larger rear block or an add-a-leaf kit to gain extra rear ride height. However, the 5100 series rear shock can handle up to an extra 1.5" of ride height over stock if you are planning on raising your rear ride height.

Customer Question Can I use this shock with 2WD? I just want the added height it provides verses the RWD shock.

Asked by: Aidan - 6/4/2016
Customer Answer Yup. You can use this shock on a 2WD truck if you have some extra rear lift over stock, in some form or fashion.
